Greater than one weekThese are just as effective as the best tack cloths Ive ever used. I prepared by swabbing everything with Isopropyl alcohol to remove any contaminates, and then using one of these tack cloths to pick up any fibers or particles that inevitably found their way into my work. The end result is a nice smooth surface that only shows the works imperfections.

> 3 dayThis will ruin any surfaces you use it on due to the sheer amount of residue that it leaves compared to other brands Ive tried. Good luck cleaning it off.

> 3 dayMy husband does a lot of woodworking and uses tack cloth often. He’s very impressed with these. First off, he likes the fact that they are individually wrapped, keeping those he’s not using clean until he’s ready to use them. Next, they’re thin enough to work with and get into all the corners and crevices, but still very strong. We’re currently in the process of re-staining all the woodwork in our house…doors, molding, cabinets, everything. It means lots of sanding to remove old stain and varnish and these cloths are perfect for ensuring the wood is ready to receive the new stain.

16-11-2024I used one before spraying varnish on a table top I stripped and sanded . I saw no dust in the finished product , I usually have to wet-sand and buff , a buff made it great . I can 100% recommend these tack rags , they are some of the best Ive used .

Greater than one weekGreat tack rags for the price. I have used these rags before restoring an end table and a book shelf. They really do a great job of getting the dust off. Once done sanding they do even a better job of getting the wood clean for a coat of varnish. Totally recommend using these over a cotton rag or old t-shirt. Outstanding value on these tack rags.

> 3 dayI bought these to try them while wood working. They worked just as I expected them to. I used them for prep work before both painting and staining and they worked well.

> 3 day12 individually wrapped 18 by 36 tack cloths come in handy to remove all dust particles before applying a finish to projects. It is so heartbreaking to think you have completed a project only to find that you didnt get all the dust off before applying paint, polyurethane, or lacquer and now have a bumpy mess on your hands. A good tack cloth, carefully used, will definitely prevent that. The cloths work well and do not contain any wax or silicones that could affect how a finish adheres. They are moderately sticky and sweep across the surface without any drag. Handy to have so many ready to use.

> 3 dayEach one of these little clothes come sealed in a plastic bag keeping it fresh. The cheesecloth material is pre-soaked in a shellac type liquid that is tacky (I guess that’s why they are called “tack clothes”) that sticks to all the fine particles of dust left behind after sanding and brushing off and even vacuuming. Each cloth is folded to about a 6 inch square that can be unfolded multiple times to about an 18 inch square. After each unfolding it’s newly fresh surface can be used to collect the dust off your workpiece until it is covered in dust; and then turn over and/or unfold again and repeat the process. When finished the cloth can be put back into the plastic bag (if you have carefully opened it) for use again later … until it will no longer pick up dust. Then, for safety, toss it into a fireproof container so that any spontaneous combustion does not occur. These pre-made tack clothes are not inexpensive, but they are very time saving and convenient. I’m glad to have them available to use.
