Fits like a glove

Very glad I found this for my 2021 Ford Escape. Most SUV manufacturers are putting 2 section center consoles in - push one button on the cushioned console and you get a shallow tray for things like pens, ID cards, Chapstick, a small note pad, some change, etc. Then push another release to access a deeper bin for larger stuff. Hand wipes, sanitizer, chargers, etc.; whatever. Nope, not Ford in the 21 Escape. Just one bin that makes you jumble everything up and have to search through it all to find what you want. Storage is the one thing that I think Ford overall got wrong in this car. Theres no little change bin or drawer, the back area (though I do have the hybrid, so that does change things up) isnt nearly as well thought out as other manufacturers, but I digress. This little tray is awesome. It fit ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY. The top closes AND LATCHES as if the tray wasnt even there. Its sized perfectly for me so that all of the big stuff I have in the bottom (including a small cylindrical container of hand wipes) still fits just fine. Its got several little divided areas that are well shown in the pictures. Theres an opening that a cable (or cables) can pass through and still allow the cushioned top to close and latch. They provided little die-cut rubber pads to put on the bottom of the hard plastic to keep things from rattling. The only thing to note is that you really cant use it as if its hinged at the back (meaning lift up the front end, expecting it to rotate on the back so you can get things below), as you can when theres an OEM hinged top section (see my comments above). To access things below you really do pretty much have to lift it up, meaning dont try this while driving. Either get your stuff from below at a stop light or have a passenger if present help. BUT - thats a minor detail on an otherwise very nicely built and designed product. VERY glad I got it because its allowed me to store and organize things the way I like, for easier access of small things I need more often (those things, in one big bin, will fall to the bottom and youve got to move everything around to find them, then put it all back in place - PAIN!). I paid full price for this with my own money, so its my honest opinion without influence of remuneration.

This fits like a glove and it’s very easy to lift out to get the underneath if you need to. It has exceeded my expectations. I’m using this in my 2021 Ford escape hybrid.
