> 3 dayExo-Terra is a great caging brand, but there is a bit of false advertising: the Nano is NOT appropriate for ANY reptile or amphibian, only arachnids or insects! I am planning to use this for a tarantula, but as someone who keeps and breeds all manners of reptiles, it is NOT for anything else, even for babies.

Greater than one weekSimply too small to house any sort of vertebrate ethically. I mean it is VERY small. I have some plants growing in it now after realizing I would be kind of a jerk if I put any thing else in there. On the plus side it leaks like thats its job! In theory it should hold water up to about an inch high where the bottom of the door starts. There is a hole in the sealant though. I patched it but, seriously come on.

> 3 dayThis thing is cute and perfect for a juvenile spider or even a Pacman frog. Unfortunately, the door shakes back and forth even when locked. While opening the box-within-a-box, an accomodation that Amazon has wisely provided to limit damage in shipping, I could hear what sounded like glass shaking. Evidently, theres some play in the (plastic) locking mechanism since even when locked the door shakes back and forth. Clearly Hagen and Exo Terra have limited quality control because they seem to have ignored it. The additional movement of the door increases the characteristic seam or gap where the door meets the left glass wall. This is typical of Hagen since they know they have the Market cornered here. Even the ubiquitous Zoo Med only offers the NT1 which is larger than this ET Nano/Wide. One is given the impression a spiderling could escape through it since there is this additional 1/4 inch sway in the hinge allowing the door to open even more. Im still considering wheather a deal breaker or not. This is the first time I have encountered this problem and I dont think I can fix it on my own. Its a shame really since its a nice little enclosure.

> 3 dayThe perfect size for most tarantulas, scorpions, and insects. I have my pink toe tarantula in mine, and he just wanders around until he finds his spot then stays put. If you have an animal that doesnt leave its nest much, these are perfect. This is too small for most reptiles except the smallest of geckos, and may work ok for a frog, but otherwise stick to the classic 10 or 20 gallon, or the larger exo terra.

> 3 dayEveryone who see the title will know. Great for Ground dwelling Tarantulas who need a little larger area ( 4 - 5). Note for Exo Terra: Please for the love of GOD, Re-design the lower 2 plastic vent, It Takes up 20% of the viewing area.

> 3 dayI purchased two of these enclosures recently as housing for two tarantulas. I have several other Exo terra enclosures that I have been using for several years now. I Anticipate the same quality and ease of cleaning with these two new ones. So far, so good.

> 3 dayWorks perfectly for my baby Texas banded gecko, I know a lot people take the background out, but my little gecko sometimes climbs up there and hides in the crack in between the lid and background. Works perfectly!

> 3 dayGorgeous little tank. I use it for my ghost mantis. I saw some comments that the metal screen is bad for mantis feet so I bought some terrarium netting meant for layering between substrate and hot glued that on top of the metal mesh. Fruit flies are able to fit through the small gap between the door and the side if they find it. The bottom of the tank is raised so you can fit a little heat pad underneath. Tank comes with the cool fake rock background. If you want to utilize the small sliding hatch meant for feeding wires through (I used a probe to measure temp/humidity) you will have to carve a small notch in the foam background. I would buy this tank again for another small critter. Very functional and compact!

> 3 dayPerfect for my tarantula. Looks very nice with the wooden 3-d back drop (provided). It sits on my work desk and adds a nice touch of decor to my office. Stella likes it better than her old cage, which was a plastic critter keeper. This is actually about the same size as the cage she was in before. I thought it would be a bit bigger, but thats all on me. Make sure you look at the size if you are looking for something for a pet bigger then a spider, frog or small lizard.
