Bacon collar syndrome! I can’t get rid of the “wave”!

Overall the pad is really nice. Longterm I dont see anything going wrong with it as long as it isnt exposed to elements such as children or dogs. The only thing I dont like is that because it is shipped rolled up in a tube like fashion the edges are wavy like a bacon strip. Any course of action to try and correct these areas only make it worse. I would have liked more if it was shipped like a painting instead of a map. If over time the desk pad settles and lays flat I will update but I dont see that being the case

PLEASE READ, I usually do not leave reviews, but this I felt it was needed. Being someone who has traveled around the world I love seeing the World Map while on my computer. The quality of the print is impressive, 10/10. HOWEVER, if you are wanting to leave the lights on it will only last 7 months. Even from day 1 the strip was pretty dim and only got worse over time. buy again, this is tough, because of the quality of the pad is good, the print is good, but being a mechanic I felt the pad did stained easily and the light going out only after 7 months (the main highlight of the pad) I only give it 2 stars. If I didnt want the light i would have bought just a plan pad with a map.

I bought this because I love travelling and do game a lot. Everything in terms of the quality, lights, and size is good except for the image on the mat. Most of the countries are clear but the smaller ones are blurry especially the wording of the small countries which I am unable to read like the countries below China and the island in the middle of the ocean. I like to study the geography a bit when I get bored and sometimes use it when I travel to the next country. Honestly looks like a copy and paste type of image. Would not recommend buying this unless you dont care about the design.

After just 2 days of use the pad doesnt sit flat on the desk. One of the corners curled in on the light strip and its pushing down the edge causing the mat to wave along front edge. I tried to flatten the corner piece, but its like trying to flatten out a tennis ball thats been cut in half. Have my return ready to go.
