> 24 hourAwesome kit to add back buttons to your controller, in an Elite-esque controller way, the installation process is not that hard, but requires some specific tools and basic knowledge in soldering, it takes somewhat 1 hour to be done (in my case, it took me 2 hours to complete my controller cause I also added two other ExtremeRate kits, one for interchangeable thumb sticks and one for trigger stops). Definitely if you want a cheaper option than buying an Elite Series 2 controller and you have the tools and knowledge, this is your kit to buy.

> 24 hourSadly my controller started triple tapping buttons when the mod was installed. So, I had to remove it. After having this installed and then having to remove it, I can say I cant see playing some games w/o it. I have zero plans to risk buying another one currently till I can address the failure point. Im leaving my first review intact but would like to make a note. *The removal was easier than expected but I recommend using proper pry tools and a low temp setting on your heat mat/gun to soften the adhesive and make it come off w/o damaging the tfp/ribbon connectors. My First Review is below. PROS Great upgrade! CONS Can make future controller repairs considerably more difficult. Super easy to figure out. I was able to install it w/o even needing to look up directions online. If work on Cellphones or Macs running traces and dealing with multiple screw sizes all over isnt a big deal. (This is way easier) Build time is about 20 Minutes. Its plastics designed very well, but not the best quality of plastics. -Might become a bit brittle and crack near stress points over time. So, dont over tighten those screws. My main gripe is with how its is made to be permanent. It makes future service of the controller way more difficult than it should be. Like if it develops drift for example. A simple redesign of the flex-board could eliminate this by moving the w2w to the center and run it up between the wireless ants. It might have room to use a single ribbon this way. (would loose the Tester feature) But that way the tape wouldnt need removed should you ever need to replace your joys. or button caps. The price of this kit + a controller is close to that of a refurbished elite controller or even more than a used first gen elite controller. It never hurts to think about serviceability. Anyways Great product if you already have a spare controller laying about. It might be worth the extra few bucks to get an actual elite series as they are fully serviceable and can be exchanged for new ones while under warranty should they break.

> 24 hourI purchased this after my scuff prestige paddles broke for the 5th time, and I could no longer purchase replacement paddles online. The price seemed like a no brainer as I could do the soldering work, and had old controllers lying around. If you dont know how to solder this isnt for you, but if you do, or are willing to learn, its worth it. As for the installation, it was easy and straight forward. The one complaint I had was that I think there must have been an issue with my test board. When I finished I only had 2 lights come on, however after rechecking multiple times my solder joints were secure, so I said forget it Im testing the controller and put it all together. Low and behold every feature works fine. It was a frustrating point that it had me chasing ghost to try to figure out what the problem was, but the satisfaction of being able to say you did it yourself outweighs any of it. As far as use goes, the controller itself is very slick. It gets slippery when picking up and setting down the controller repeatedly (ie watching YouTube, twitch, etc), however when you are gaming you dont notice any issues. Can always just use a random casual controller when doing casual things. This isnt a big issue however, must nitpicking every possible thing I could think a downside would be. If this was a concern I would say buy the textured one? The buttons feel very clicky and responsive. I love the feel of them. They are much nicer to use then any paddles Ive tested. Ive got pretty big hands, and have no issue with button positioning and being able to use them all without compromise. Another big plus about the feel, which I initially worried might had been a thing, was the fitment. Alot of aftermarket diy kits, as in many fields, have an issue with fitment being seamless. This is just that though. I have no issues with seams or loose pieces. The build quality is top notch as well. All in all a great product that I enjoy using more than my past scuff controller or elites.

> 24 hourThe kit works perfect, it has installed alongside with the led kit without problems, the battery consumption is great. For me the upper buttons are a little difficult to press without readjust the hands ingame. The white of the shell is whiter than the blue xbox core controller. There is not textured grip

> 24 hourInstructions can be found on YouTube, just search ExtremeRate, only tool you will need is a solder iron and solder. Definitely don’t recommend for beginners, super small solder points but with a little practice with a solder iron and you will definitely be able to do it. Way faster to reprogram the “paddles” than any other controller on the market including the Elite Controllers. Takes less than 5 seconds to reprogram your paddles, just flip a switch on back of the controller to enter program mode.

> 24 hourGreat kit. It includes everything you need except for a soldering iron. You might want some tweezes or a pair of pliers and some no-clean flux as well. Watch the video on youtube in full, then follow the steps and you will be able to do it. The tricky part is removing and re-attaching the antenna connectors, and making sure the wires are routed properly when putting pieces back together. The didnt include the double sided tape or the black wire-tape that are shown in the video, but they werent required. Works well, the buttons are easy to map. Only thing I wish is that they allowed you to map key combos to a button instead of single keys, but I guess that could be considered cheating? I dont know, but it would be useful.

> 24 hourEverything worked as expected. Buttons feel great. Only thing is I’m used to the lower paddles on my Xbox elite 2 controller so these paddles are quite high in comparison. It would be perfect imo if they were more closely placed with those paddles in mind so all the paddle controls stay consistent no matter what controller you use and it would make switching between controls more seamless and less clunky feeling.

> 24 hourDifficult to install. I originally had given it a 1 star, but after tricking n soldering wires on n off, n a few more breaking off along the way, I was finally able to make this controller with the help of my bro. After making this wrk, it was a great feeling n accomplishment. Superb controller with great the features. Love this controller now!

> 24 hourLove this remap kit it’s affordable and with some basic soldering skills you can have a pretty nice modded controller. It’s definitely helped with my gaming movement being a lot faster once I got used to it.
