> 3 dayI use this to waterproof coax on radio installations. I have also used it to repair leaks under the hood and attach things where I do not want a sticky mess. It is heat resistant and water proof. It has its limitations, it does not stick to anything else. It must be clean and dry or it will not stick, dust and grease will not allow it to bond. It only sticks to itself and when it does it bonds into a solid mass that can not be separated. Repairing things like garden hoses does not seem to work as the tape will not stick to the hose and will allow water to leak past the tape and the hose. Hoses are better repaired by cutting and coupling anyway. It will not repair everything. If you have an application that can be repaired by wrapping the tape around it, this is for you. Otherwise some other kind of tape is what you are looking for. This seems to be the best buy at the moment.

> 3 dayI wrapped the tape around a garden hose with a split. I went a couple inches past on each end so i had an 8 inch tape wrap when I was done. I even took smaller pieces and just warapped around a couple of times at each end afterward. I then turned the water on: water sprayed out one end of the repair, a big blister appeared in the repair, and then ... the middle just blew out!

Greater than one weekThis tape is quite simple amazing. Its excellent for wires, pipes, hoses, etc. Pretty much anything with a relatively rigid backing can use this tape. Pros: - STRONG! Works VERY well for the advertised uses. - Does not leave a residue when removed. - colors allow for color-coding items. Cons: - It really does need to stick to itself - so its not good for applications that require a strip of tape. - Because it needs to stick to itself, it does not lend itself to small (as in tiny) projects. They can be done, however it is a challenge. Overall great for electrical work, plumbing, other uses where you can wrap it around. MAKE SURE YOU STRETCH IT before use - otherwise it wont stick properly. Hope that helps.

> 3 dayI bought this to fix a leaking hose. Turns out you need several rolls and eventually it leaks again. Other similar tapes with heat and temperature ratings work lots better but you pay for it.

Greater than one weekFamiliar with this Fixit brand. It’s the original and better quality than slightly less expensive knockoffs. If you are buying this for just case situations don’t cheap out. Get this!!

20-11-2024This tape is good but, not the miracle they say. Tried to fix a leaking garden hose and blew threw most of 1 roll. Had to keep wraping tighter & tighter & adding layers. Still was getting a little drip. Still happy to have it but, Its no poof magic fix like the claims.

> 3 dayMy 1999 GMC Diesel GMC Suburban developed a leak; the part was no longer available. A friend manufactured a copper replacement however, since he didnt have the original part in hand at the time he was making the replacement, he didnt know how the end was designed. Turned out it was not manufactured large enough to fit into the water line and stop leaking. I finally convinced my mechanic an alternative would be to wrap the manufactured part with Rescue Tape to create a tight bond. My mechanic reluctantly used it since he didnt have any other option; more than two years later, the tape is still holding and there has been no more leak. I keep it in my RV now for any sudden emergency which might develop on the road.
