Greater than one weekI used about 5 feet of tape in trying to stop the leaking of a garden hose coupling. The water finds its way out of the tape, no matter what I do. From this experience I have to give this tape a negative rating. If the manufacturer can suggest a way to wrap the tape differently from its enclosed instructions, I would be happy to try it. If the method worked, I would be happy to give the tape a more favorable review.

Greater than one weekMy father in law bought this for us and we thought it was a joke until we had a leak in a sump pump hose, which those hoses have ridges in them so it is not a smooth hose. My husband remembered that his dad gave us this tape and so we started to wrap it around the spots that the leaks were coming out of and to our surprise it worked! You do have to make sure you are over lapping it and pulling it fairly tight. One spot we only over lapped it a little and the leak broke through, but all the other areas stayed dry. If you use it right, it will work great!

> 3 dayI read about this tape in family handyman magazine and just had to try it. Can be a little difficult to use until you get the hang of it, but I used it to repair a metal trellis in the yard and it has held up nicely.

Greater than one weekItems were delivered promptly and in good order. I find the tape to be useful in some applications e.g. i used it on my squash racquet handle and it provides good grip. It does not work well at all to patch my garden hose, does not hold the water pressure

> 3 dayMy first problem was removing the protective plastic-cant believe that they are so cheap to give you not enough to grab hold of- finally had to use needle nose pliers. The tape itself is flimsy- no thickness; flips around on itself; and one time while stretching it the tape broke. The tape is only 1 in width so it makes it difficult to cover much area. Finally, I used on a hose and it leaked. Better to stick to the good stuff- had none of these problems with the Amazon choice - A week later it would form bubble and then burst- a waste of time and money. X-Treme Tape TPE-XR1510ZLB Silicone Rubber Self Fusing Tape, 1.5 x 10. It may be more expensive but it will save you a great deal of frustration.

> 3 dayRecently a plumbing line leaked which the plumber said was hard to fix. He realised that a tape had been used to fix the previous leak. My husband explained how he used a specific tape 6 years ago. We searched our local stores which werent aware of such a product. As always, I looked up on Amazon. There it was. I used it on my hairband as soon as it arrived. Wow! It sealed the edges permanently. Cant wait for a plumbing leak to wrap one around. We have given a tape each to our closest friends.

22-11-2024I bought this to fix a leaking hose. Turns out you need several rolls and eventually it leaks again. Other similar tapes with heat and temperature ratings work lots better but you pay for it.
