I had built a splitter out of components and had it in a small box. Some cameras insisted on giving out at night (when current draw went up to support the IR emitters). So I put in two of these splitters. All the cameras now work correctly.

I used this to power 8, 1080p analog security cameras. Each camera uses 0.5 amps and this provides 5 amps, so I had plenty of power to power all 8 cameras. The 8 way splitter is perfect and exactly what I needed. Highly recommended.

This product is a waste of money. It didn’t work. Got a replacement and guess what, it didn’t work either. Dont waste your money.

One of spitter is not working... i dont buy again. .i.wasted mony to save a little..too sad..

I started to notice a few months ago that one of my cameras had a poor picture, I figured I needed a new camera or the cable to it, it was working but was a very poor image. Yesterday another camera started doing the same thing, now thats odd, two cameras acting up, ok. Well today I come in and not one single camera is working. I felt the power supply and it was ice cold and felt like it was warped, sure enough it has melted and has died. Sure, I didnt pay much for it and we get what we pay for in life, but I didnt think it would die only after 6 months! The last one I had prior to this one lasted two years. I guess I need to buy another one and perhaps two for a back up. Im going to find a different brand this time and maybe spend a little more money on them.

This power supply is very under rated. It wont even power 1 of my 4k cameras in night mode. It would do a 1080 camera but as soon as I plug in anything else it causes horizontal wavey lines in my video feed. I already threw away the box or Id send this junk back.
