It does what I expected.

The one that came with my iPad has a short cord which is why I ordered these. Don’t know if it is the block or the length of the cord that determines speed or both. In any case I am using them since they only work with the iPad.

My old 5amp ones weren’t cutting it. I have every charging block all the way back to the first I phone 3. After some reading, it seems even the newer cord end makes a difference in charging power. Two thumbs up!
