> 3 dayWe installed the puck lights under our kitchen cabinets a few years ago. One set of lights was hardwired, the other set used the dimmer switch that came with the set. I noticed right away that we were blowing bulbs constantly on the dimmer set. Not only that, but the fuse in the dimmer switch went out twice. We had to buy a new set of lights just for the dimmer switch. After the second dimmer switch fuse blew, my husband hard-wired the other set. Now the bulbs last a long time, and Ive never used gloves or a barrier to install the bulbs. So, if you are using these bulbs for kitchen puck lights, it is probably the dimmer switch that is causing your bulbs to blow early. We have about 10 lights, and I probably replace the bulbs once a year. UPDATE 3/15/13 Two have exploded in the light fixture in the last few months (different pucks). Had to replace one puck because of explosion. Unsure if this is an issue with the bulb or the light itself.

> 3 dayWhen I selected this product the brand name was consistent with the bulbs I was replacing, which was from Feitl Electric. When I received the bulbs yesterday the box was labeled Sunbelt and the bulbs do not fit! They are slightly too large. Plus the glass on each bulb looks like it’s melted. Disappointed.

Greater than one weekThese arent my favorite type of bulb and if I had a choice I wouldnt own them - BUT, they came with the fixture (kitchen under cabinet lights) and now that a couple have blown out I had to replace them. That said, these bulbs are fine, BUT they are tiny and when you install them, as with all halogen bulbs, YOU CANNOT TOUCH THEM. This is said to shorten the bulb life significantly. So, tiny bulbs, average fingers, tight spaces under the kitchen cabinet, stiff push pin sockets - its a nightmare - and wearing bifocals doesnt help. I finally gave up with various tools and gloves and just wrapped each bulb in teflon tape - then I could use my fingers to push in the bulb and then carefully unwind the tape. Not fun, but it worked... anyone knows a better way to do this please add it below!

> 3 dayWe use these bulbs and several small Puck lights in our kitchen and they seem to last a very long time and are easy to replace. Home Depot stopped carrying the bulbs this year so we bought them through Amazon and were very pleased with the shipping.
