Greater than one weekI was looking for something to control outdoor Christmas lights and I dislike mechanical timers. Being able to control this with my phone, and the ability to easily schedule on/off times is very convenient. The price isn’t bad either. Setup was a little rocky at first due to being on the wrong Wi-Fi network at home, but once I figured that out it was cake. My mesh router system provides strong enough Wi-Fi to use such a device easily.

Greater than one weekSee image of instructions which state that the unit must be mounted vertically with the unit at least 55 inches above ground level. This is probably why there are no images in the listing of the actual product in use because it would be stuck on a wall or a pole and not shown near an outlet closer to the ground. Most people have GFCI outlets outside that at knee or lower height. Requiring this to be at 55 inches means I either have to have it at very visible level which I didnt want or really high were I am unable to reach the push button. Since the power cable attached to the plug is less than 55 inches, it also means you need an additional extension cord. One from the outlet to the FEIT plug and one from the FEIT plugs to whatever you are trying to control. For an outdoor product, I would have thought it could be closer to the outlet. The vertical requirement is also a pain. I am using the plug to control some lights and if I choose to put it up in the eaves of the roof hangover, I would still need to mount it vertically which would be a pain versus mounting sideways under the roof. PROS: Very easy to install. Literally like a few minutes. CONS: Must be mounted 55 inches or higher and vertically with the plugs facing down. This should be in the listing. Its probably not there because many people would not purchase it then. UNKNOWNS: Although I got it working quickly with Alexa. I have yet to find out whether there is a way to remotely control the two outlets independently. If that is a need for you, Im not sure thats possible.

> 3 dayUsed to connect string lights on screen porch. Easy to install app which allowed very simple integration with Alexa. No longer need to plug in cord to turn on lights. Just say “Alexa: turn on porch lights!”

Greater than one weekThis is an outdoor plug meant to be plugged into an outdoor outlet. The casing around the outdoor outlet prevented me from plugging this into one of the plugs. It works in the other plug but the sturdy and long tail blocks the other plug from being used. The app allows you to control the entire device but not the individual outlets. It does not support the new Matter Smart Home standard.

> 3 dayNice plug that works well until it doesn’t. I’ve got two of these in locations that are not real close to an access point. They work great for a while but will drop off the network every week or so. Then I have to reset them and reconnect to the network. Why don’t they try to reconnect? Clearly they CAN connect, since I can reset them and then they work for a while. But sooner or later they’ll drop the connection and not reconnect. Locate these where you have a strong signal and they’ll be fine. Otherwise prepare to be flummoxed.
