They work well. I have pets and really appreciate how the Filtrete Allergen Defense Odor Reduction filters catch the dander. It only gets a 4 out of 5 stars because the cardboard frame is not as sturdy as they were years ago. For me it is best to change them every 2 months. Only order them with lightweight small items; heavier companion products crushed the filters when I ordered them last year.

The filter is good and quality is there but it did not make a noticeable difference with odor removal vs. other 3M filters.

I know they are a good product. I have used them before. I was worried about shipping, but they arrived safe and sound with free shipping from Amazon prime they were cheaper then I could buy them locally.

The filter contains lots of black particles about the size of coffee grounds. They tend to fall out if the filter is shaken. It doesnt seem as if the density of carbon particles is really sufficient to matter much.Theres lots of white space were air can pass through without contacting any carbon whatsoever. Plus, the path length that air has to travel through the filter is so short, that it doesnt give much opportunity for any odor causing compounds to bind to the carbon. In practice,I havent noticed much of a change in odor reduction with these compared to standard Filtrete filters even with the HVAC fan set to run continuously. But Ill probably keep buying them just in case they do.

I use the 20x20” on the backside of a box fan in my garage for pulling dust out of the air and also neutralizing the smell of fumes when painting/varnishing. Works well. Installed in my aunts house and she is a 3 pack a day smoker and it helps cut down on odor.

Gets rid of cooking odors, pet odors, I love these.

Shredded and came apart in my furnace.. my have guy said it was a faulty filter as my system is operating fine.
