We have a round fire pit on our patio area - the kind with the patio brick surround. Weve struggled with finding fire tools that work because of it size and depth - but this will be perfect! The only negative is how it came packaged by Amazon - as it was in a box by itself, without any packaging material and it was poking out the end when delivered to my front porch. It a solid one-piece construction, the handle feels comfortable and the hooked end will be great for moving things around in the fire pit.

Liked the quality and the fact it arrived earlier than I thought; just finished our outdoor fire pit and it works great!

DESCRIPTION: This item is a large iron 40” poker intended for firepits or campfires. ———————— ASSEMBLY: This item is one piece, no assembly is needed. There are two protective plastic caps over the points which must be removed before use. ———————— PLUS: This poker is BIG. It measures 40” which keeps you well away from the hot fire. (My ‘standard’ household fireplace poker is only 22”). See photo for comparison. The two points are sharp! They will bite into wood cleanly. Protective caps are good for storing. The side point, used for a pulling motion, is strongly welded in position. The opening in the handle is large and my hand fits entirely through it easily. This is one piece (unlike my fireplace poker which has a separate handle which usually loosens and falls off). ———————— MINUS: This poker is flat black, and may tend to blend in to surroundings and be hard to locate. The protective caps are also black, and may tend to get lost. ———————— HOW I USED IT I use this both in my home firepit and when on camping trips to state parks. This is too large for my home fireplace. I was concerned about leaving it behind when packing up from camping, so I attached a piece of orange flagging tape to the handle for visibility. Likewise, I attached some colored tape around each protective cap.

This fire poker is simple, functional and indestructible. Its basically a 7/16 solid steel rod with a welded hook. Not much to malfunction here. The 40 length is great for extra reach when tending larger fires. It weighs in at about 2 lbs. 4 oz. and is painted with a nice black/charcoal semi-gloss finish. This simple and durable poker design is exactly what I was l looking for. I give this a solid buy recommendation.

I bought this to move the wood charcoal around in the grill, and it’s the perfect length not to burn yourself.

This thing is HEAVY in the best way and very long. My husband is very pleased with his fire poking stick.

We recently purchased a solo stove and needed something to move the wood around. We didn’t want to spend the $60 on the solo stove brand one. This one is honestly was better quality for a fraction of the price.
