Due to the being so sturdy it is a little on the heavy side. But thats to be expected. Its one solid piece, no wooden handle to come loose or rot. We intend on using this outdoors in our fire pit for a very long time. I have a four star review on maneuverability as it is slightly heavy.. I wouldnt change a thing with the design. We are very pleased.

Works SO much better than the majority of the pokers on the market. We burn lots of Osage Orange and Locust in our fireplace and it handles even the larger pieces with ease. Absolutely worth the money!
