Fix-It Utilities 12 Professional [Old Version]

I bought Fix-It Utilities 12 Pro because my computer was running slow, taking a minute or so to attach a picture to an email. I did the download and bought the $9.99 CD. I had problems from the start with the download install, so I uninstalled it and patiently waited until I got the CD in the mail and re-installed it from the CD. After installing it, the computer (XP Pro) ran so slow, it took 42 minutes to attach a picture to an email. Im going to try to get my money back.

dont buy it, days of wasted time and money. install, then uninstall install, then unstall.Still wont work, I do not have time to install is again. Just save your money, buy another product

This product almost wreaked havoc on a brand new laptop! I bought this product in March to help me work on the registry for my old computer. It seemed to work fine back then. I installed it to my new HD laptop. It worked ok at first, but when it updated, it literally wiped every program from my PC. I had to use recovery to get it to work again. I was not sure if it was my new computer at fault. I reinstalled it and again, the patch causes the computer to erase itself. I have immediately uninstalled it from my computer.

First it analyses your computer and finds 300+ things to fix, then it suggests you disable your protection software like Norton or McAfee, because theirs is just so much more powerful and will protect you better. At the end of the day my computer was not any faster with all the fixes, but the program wants to install new updates and fixes daily. I took it out of my computer. If you set your computer to defrag weekly and follow basic steps to check it monthly, you do not need this software; it is a hassle and NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

Avanquest is one of the worst software companies I have ever encountered. They sell buggy software, refuse to acknowledge any problems, they will ignore your letters and then want you to pay for upgrades. I got conned by their hype and bought a couple of their products. By the time I realized how buggy the software was, it was too late to return them. Then I get an email which essentially said I could buy a new version that might fix the bugs. Why should I have to pay for something to fix the bugs? I emailed them repeatedly and they did a great job of ignoring me and repeatedly asking what the problem was, I then realized they were just laughing at me.

this program NEVER WORKED RIGHT ON EITHER OF MY COMPUTERS I TRULY BELEIVE IT WAS CORRUPTED WHEN I GOT IT. IM JUST SORRY I DIDNT SAY ANYTHG THEN

Like Fix-it uti!ity. Dont like running install and getting an error. The error was because of an older version on computer. Had to guess about reason. I bought this because I have to clean old version every month and reinstall. The install is a lengthy procedure. Sure it doesnt cost me anything but my time but after a time I get annoyed. The newer version looks exactly the same. Time will tell if I get the dreaded cant connect to server and my only option is click OK and the program quits. I see that there is much negative feedback on all virus protection programs. So Im just sticking to old faithful for now. After using it for a while I find it had to be deleted and reinstalled as my older one. I gained nothing so its just another piece of junk.

this program screwed my computer up even more than it was before. Hard time deleting it. Had to Google it to find out how to uninstall. Now I am going to have to wipe my computer clean and start over. I would not recommend this product

Once upon a time the Avanquest products were respectable. Ive used both System Suite and Fix-It Utilities. I had Fix-It Utilities 12 Pro installed on my computers. I uninstalled it even though my contract still had more than three months left. I really wanted to believe it was as good as it was back when it was at version #5. Through the years their products have gone from competitive and reliable to junk. Customer service is terrible. Emails do not get answered. Their FAQ and Forums are a joke. Whenever the product is upgraded any settings have to be reset. One product upgrade removed the software, but did not replace it with anything. I had to reinstall from the disk. Windows does not recognize it as any kind of anti-malware sofware. The only good thing I have to say about it is, to my knowledge it did its job, when I installed a new virus checker, it found no viruses on my computer. The problem is the program is horribly clunky and customer service for a paid product is non-existent..
