Fix-It Utilities Professional

I have my own anti-virus and firewall and so did not install the Fix-It versions. Fix-It is a nice enough product for disk maintenance, and it did improve my start-up speed. Fix-It does not address Drivers, however. Avanquest has a separate product that claims to do that, but it is not listed on Amazon. I received some benefit from using this product, but my Driver problems remain unresolved.

My PC was in a terrible state. I hadnt run a clean-up in years and I knew the slow booting and constant application crashes were getting more and more frequent. I have tried other utilities in the past but FixIt seemed to work the best. Now my PC is a lot better and boots 10 times a fast as before.

I thought this would speed up my computer shutting down and booting up. It didnt. It looks like it performs a lot of maintenance tasks and it will, but so will other programs. I didnt notice that this program offered anything better than other programs do. At some point several months after purchase it started showing a pop up to extend time (months before expiration). There was no way to stop the pop-up because its in the application and not shown separately anywhere to be able to block it. I also couldnt keep Fix-it from automatically loading at startup which defeated the whole purpose of buying it to get a faster startup. Then, the clincher is that it is very difficult to uninstall this thing if you dont like it. It doesnt show an uninstall within the program itself. I tried the windows program uninstaller and that didnt work either. I tried uninstalling it with Ccleaner and that didnt work either. I finally had to download Revo uninstaller to get rid of this thing. So, I wouldnt recommend it.

CANT GET RID OF KILLED MY COMPUTER AND HAD TO BUT ANOTHER .

My system was running slow, and I was having issues with Windows taking a long time to start up. I tried Fix-It and it worked well ... am very happy with my purchase. Im not very tech savvy ... just looking for a solid fix, and got it.

Registered the product. Had problems with program installation, spoke with service tech, and gave him remote access to my computer. He looked at a few areas and said there were virus problems preventing proper installation of the software. He offered to fix the virus problems, so software could load, for $200.00. Fix-It Utilities Professional, Version 14 was sold for $42 and they wanted another $200 to install the software.

I downloaded Fix-It utilities on my desk top computer but could not get it to download on my lap top. I was supposed to be able to use it on five computers. I ordered this boxed CD so I could use it on my lap top but when I installed this program it picked up the number of days I had left on my original download. Since I paid $39.99 for this CD I felt I should have gotten my full year for it. I contacted Avenquest and they told me what I have to do to delete the original download which I did not find acceptable. I have not done this to date but I dont feel like I should have to go through this process with my new purchased CD.

Years ago I purchased Fixit Utilities, upon the recommendation of my computer repair person. It worked so well all those years ago when my office computer wouldnt boot on Windows XP that, upon my husbands computer getting stuck in safe mode after a windows update and wouldnt boot, it was an attempt to avoid a costly computer repair at our local shop (not the best). When the disc arrived, it took hours to get to the part where it could be used to boot the computer. Once I found out how to do this, not from the instruction book or Fix it Utilities, but rather google and youtube searches, I was able to get the computer to boot normally. But since the original problem, computer freezes, was still an issue, I wanted to install Fixit on the computer. This took several more hours, as the instructions in the book did not work for installation. I was finally able to install it, and register the product, however the rest of the program will not load, and I simply dont have the time. This is an awful program compared to the awesome program it used to be. And that lack of instruction was made all the more frustrating by the fact that there is no way to talk to a real person to find out why! All help is automated, and none of it applied. I would recommend using a different program rather than this one if you have computer issues. Unlike its previous version, this one is basicly trash, and thats where I will be throwing it when I drive to the local computer office to get it repaired!
