I bought this in December 2019. The installation went fine and it worked well for about five months. Then the home button gradually became unusable. As it stands right now, theres a 50-50 chance I can use the home button at any given time, which is not great when you really need to use the iPad. Is this just a glitch or is it a bad product? I dont know, really. The button didnt stop working due to misuse, but that doesnt necessarily mean everything the manufacture makes is bad. I could have just gotten a bad unit. However, the home button was always louder than the original Apple-made button, so I would guess its quality was always a little suspect. I only spent $22 on it, so thats probably worth a gamble for some of you. But I dont think Ill be gambling on this model again. Ill spend $20-ish on some other knock-off and hope for the best, there. Good luck if you buy this one!

Wow - Took out everything and was about to get started and then realized we needed a bright light, hairdryer, and tape (not included). The tape is to cover the glass so the broken/cracked glass doesnt come apart and fall into the clean iPad area under the class - so you will need to be able to tape the entire glass surface. The hairdryer is needed to heat up the one edge of the iPad so that you can separate the glass from the iPad in that particular area. As luck would have it, that is exactly where my glass was smashed so the tape did help to keep the glass from shattering more. The bright light is to be able to see the instructions and to be able to clearly see if any glass was in the work area. If you have black construction paper or a black cloth (not towel) - it will help you see where any shattered glass fragments are. Our iPad is white and this also helped to keep everything focused on the iPad2. Once you have the above taken care of, it takes 30 - 40 minutes to carefully change the glass. The videos are helpful and better if you can run them on a computer versus a phone so you can see the details of what needs to be done - we paused at every step. Its important to be methodical and follow every step exactly as shown. All the tools you need are included. I have pretty fumbly fingers (drop stuff a lot) and this was intimidating to start off with. Its about 8 times as hard as changing my phone glass. The replacement glass works well and I can finally use our iPad 2 again, as its been sitting in a drawer for 4 years now. Would recommend this kit - and feel a lot more confident doing this type of fix in the future. Saved the $150 our local computer guru was going to charge us.

Perfect fit! Worked right out the gate. Good package and a good cheap set of tools. Took about 1-2 hours to do it right but looks brand new! The adhesive helped move this along. Recommend it!

This did the trick and was a perfect fit to replace an iPad 2 screen. Look around for videos on YouTube though, theres a faster/better way than removing the whole logic board to replace the WiFi Antenna if yours was also damaged prior to removal or during the old screen removal process. The new WiFi they sent along is working better than the old one was. One other note, be careful about the flimsy screwdriver or else it may strip some screws, be very deliberate and take your time to prevent damaging the screwdriver/screws.
