I did A TON of turntable research before I decided to buy. At one point, I was going to pull the trigger on a $700 ProJect but I came back to reality and decided that $700 was way too much to spend for a first-time hobbyist. Everything I read about the Fluance RT81 seemed to indicate that it was a good turntable for the money. At $250, I cannot express how pleased I am with my choice. It looks and sounds fantastic and its very easy to upgrade components in the future. It came well nicely boxed with instructions on how to set it up that were easy to read. Everything was written out step-by-step and since this is the first time Ive ever owned a record player, it couldnt have been easier. I had it plugged in and kicking out the jams within 15 minutes.

I love this record player! Been researching and researching and comparing different record players for about a year now. Finally ready to buy one and I decided on this one. As Ive read most of the reviews on here and it seemed to be the best quality for the value I could find. Definitely, take everything out of the box carefully and do not open anything from the plastic until instructed to do so as you follow along with the set up directions, which are very easy to follow or they have a video you can watch also.

I love this product! I originally got a Crosley suitcase turntable and couldnt stand the way it distorted the sound of the record and made certain records skip. After a lot of research I landed on this one and it works great! The setup definitely took me a bit, but I have absolutely no turn table knowledge so that was more a personal problem-- the instructions were very clear!

This turntable came in extremely well packaged in double cardboard boxes with all the parts neatly fitted into Styrofoam protection. The manual was well-written and easy to follow, and although I made a mistake (I turned the knob clockwise instead of counterclockwise when adjusting the counterweight, despite clearly stated in the instructions), setting it up was still a breeze and done in less than 30 minutes. Since it has a built-in pre-amp, all I had to do was connect to my powered speakers to start listening to the vinyls. Although Im not a turntable expert, I can tell it sounds way better than the turntable I used to have with no skipping issues whatsoever, and it looks and feels very sturdy. Looking forward to listening to my collection every day on this. Highly recommended!

This is my first record player and I could not be more pleased. I did a lot of research and this is the product I felt had everything I was looking for at the right price. Shipping was quick and everything was well packaged so I did not have any issues with damages. The user manual is very easy to understand and they even have some videos to help with set up as well (I had to watch the one explaining how to balance the tone arm and it was very helpful). I also purchased the Edifier S350DB Bookshelf Speaker and Subwoofer 2.1 to try and match the color of this turntable and again I could not be more pleased with the look and the sound quality. Overall I would highly recommend this record player to beginners or to give as a gift because this is such a quality product for the price.

It is fluid. It is nice.

The sound is great. Its automatic stop at end of playing. Dont change the cartridge ( Audio Technica AT 95 E,green) for upgrade. It may be near Shure M97xe with more bass. Very high C/P value. Highly recommended.( For breaking in ,dont turn to auto stop initially)
