my iggy loves it (a bit small)

I’ve had another one of these dishes for 4 years and it has been fine. It was great straight out of the package. I have a hot shot steam cleaner for deep sanitizing, but normally just wash in blue Dawn and rinse well with hot water. This one came smelling like wet epoxy. I put it out in the sun face up for a few days. It still had a faint odor. I put it out upside down and a few days later it’s finally odor free and ready to use. I did have to sand down a sharp edge on the lip that hurt my fingers. My dremel sander took the sharp points right off. So I’m a little miffed that it wasn’t ready to go with a quick wash straight out of the packaging. Update. After placing it in the cage, it ended up still smelling and releasing an oily substance into the water. I aired it out in the sun for several months and still it released contamination into the water. I ultimately had to discard it.

This water dish looks great in my snakes terrarium. I live that it fits right in corner. It arrived quickly and is very sturdy.

Heavy duty! Great size and very durable. Stays put in the corner. I like it.

Might be fine for food, but mine won’t hold water, it soaks through and collects under the dish.

Fit perfectly in my 20 gal tank. Looks cool and well made.

So far it seems pretty durable & sturdy. Fits perfect in the corner of our 20 gallom tank. My (Pastel Ball) Hecate came out of her hide to check it out & sat in it for a bit :) def will be getting the bigger one for her future 60 gallon tank!

I didn’t use the rating system because this not the color advertised. I’d call this false advertisement. It’s the reddish pink color that you’ll get not the grey stone in the picture. Not what I wanted, not what I ordered. If I wanted the red/pink color I wouldn’t have ordered that one. Aside from the color issue let’s review it. It was sticky upon arrival, not sure if it was some coating or what. It’s porous so cleaning it fully can pose issues if not done properly. The holes also give my cleanup crew ( isopods and springtails) a place to hide and it’s almost impossible to get them out without killing them which costs me money. I have ended up using super glue to close the holes which is unsightly. I would not buy this product again based on the false advertisement of color and the issues with pores.
