This light works great for my turtles. It is long lasting and provides the warmth and light they need.

They do the job, but their life could be a lot longer. I feel like Im ordering bulbs way more often than I should be. Sometimes, they burn out after a couple days, sometimes they last a couple months...but usually something in between.

We have always purchased the Fluker brand for our n Red Eared Slider Turtles. This light is a MUST for heat & light. It works perfectly. Their shells are hard & a nice color, healthy & growing. The box was damaged, the Amazon package was not damaged, and the bulb was used and rusted in some places on the base. Very unhappy with this product.

Fluker"s incandescent light bulbs provide the radiant heat (infrared light) that reptiles need. Reptiles are ectothermic and depend on their environmental temperature to regulate their core body temperature. If a reptile is not provided an appropriate environmental temperature  range (ETR), it may be predisposed to chronic infections. Because ETR"s vary from species to species, ask your pet professional or review available literature for guidance in determining the appropriate ETR for your pet.
