02-06-2025Do not buy Fluval Filters. I have two of them representing $600 in purchases. Both filters leak and I have found other reviews warning of the same problem. The leak is usually through the Primer Assembly and replacing the part will NOT solve the problem. I wish I could retract my previous review, however I will warn anyone who reads this the filter units will eventually leak!

> 3 dayI needed these for my 306 and 406 tubing. Theyre a perfect fit. I used them to connect an in-line UV sterilizer. I tried switching to reinforced vinyl tubing, but just couldnt find a good solution that met all my needs. These adapters are the best way to attach inline items to the Fluval ribbed hosing. Just be sure to use hose clamps, because I was getting some tiny drops/leaks without them.

> 3 dayBought this item twice. Love it! Fits a variety of hoses and fittings with no leaks. WHY did it go from $ 8.91 in price to $12.49. in a couple of months? Guess I got as many as I will need!

> 3 dayAlthough these rubber adapters seem overpriced, they do their job well enough. Theyre used to take Fluval plastic ribbed hose and adapt it to smooth hoses and pipes. I used them to attach glass lily pipes (17mm) to my Fluval canister filters. Eventually Ill replace the ribbed hose with clear vinyl tubing, but I was being cheap and didnt want to replumb my connections completely. These adapters are a medium gray color unlike the connectors that came with my 106 and 406 canisters, which were a dusty white color. Honestly, I think theyd look best black, as thats the color the ribbed hose is and it would blend in better. They attached just fine to both the ribbed hose and the lily pipes without needing any additional hose clamps or anything. No leaks and a good fit.

> 3 dayFor those of you looking for black connectors to replace the white connectors that come with the new 06 series of Fluval filters this is NOT the right product. The picture is wrong.

> 3 dayAwesome if you are lazy like me and are trying to connect Fluval ribbed hosing to something else. These made installing a uv sterilizer into the output hose of my Fluval 306 a breeze.

Greater than one weekI used these to install an in-line co2 reactor. I didnt realize I needed them at first, so I was frustrated that I had to buy something else. Once they arrived, they were easy to install and leak proof a week and going. I can confirm these work for the hose that comes with the newer 307 filters. I used one for the co2 reactor and one on the filter valve itself. They fit perfectly for both. Edit: two years and a move across town later and these have still never leaked.

> 3 dayIf youre wanting to connect your Fluval 406 to a UV sterilizer, this is what you need for a leak proof installation

> 3 dayWork fine for what they are made to do. My only complaint is how long these should last, I feel like they should go longer than 18 months. I get that an aquarium is probably a harsh environment for rubber, but these arent moving parts.
