Forney 20857 Tap Magic Industrial Pro Cutting Fluid, 4 oz

I had been using old motor oil on taps to cut thread inside holes. It work pretty well. This works as well at the used motor oil.

The fourth hole drilled with a relatively inexpensive step drill bit was as easy as the first, so this cutting fluid did its job as expected. Good product.

Makes the cutting of new threads and cleaning up old threads very easy. Makes for good connections of pipes and installing bolts.

This product worked great, however I would recommend KY for those love making sessions.

Works great for drilling and cutting metal

I’ve used oil while drilling through metals, just what ever was around the shop. Sometimes it helped. Typically, just quenching the piece frequently with cold water helped more (especially with aluminum), but Tap Magic is the first thing I’ve ever used on my drill bits that actually caused them to immediately begin cutting more material. Just a drop down each channel on the bit (using drill press) and it cuts even think aluminum with fewer breaks to cool the piece.

Okay I finally bought this cutting fluid. It works, reduced the drilling time in my steel projects. Worth it ,it saves time and preserves the sharp edge longer on the drill bits.

Good fluid, but I wouldnt buy this in this bottle again. It likes to leak in my tool box out of the bottom of the cap and doesnt feed out fluid very fast at times.

It seems to do its job
