> 24 hourUpdated 2021-7-21: (1 star) This smart plug failed in about 9 months light use. This is poor quality. Reached out to seller regarding warranty and I was told There will inevitably be some small regrets. Thus, Im revising my review to 1 star. Original review: Some inconsistent behavior (4 stars) These are my first smart outlet plug with energy monitoring. Overall I like them. Here is the review. The good: - Good software compatibility. It is compatible with Smart Life app and thus integrated with Google assistant and Alexa. - Easy to install. The installation is straight forward and easy to follow within the app. - Energy monitoring. Its great to have an idea how much energy the appliance is using. Other thoughts: I got a pair of the plug and they behave differently. One immediately upgraded its firmware to 1.0.3 upon installed and the other stayed on 1.0.0. As a result, the color of on/off are reversed for the pair, which is awkward. For this reason, Im taking 1 star off.

> 24 hourWhen my old manual timer that I used at my massage office to turn on my towel warmer finally died , I looked into getting one that worked remotely. For under $10 . FRANKEVER Mini Smart Plug, works perfectly! Now As long as I already have wet towels in the warmer, all I have to do is open the App on my phone and press the start button and voila, hot towels for my loyal customers. There’s even a schedule that you can set up for use. Hey, it’s just made my life a whole lot simpler. No more extra trips to the office, wasting time and gas. One con is the instructions are micro minuscule. ( Think Apple I-phone) So some sort of magnifying device is needed to read instructions. Once over the hurdle, it works wonderfully!

> 24 hourI don’t normally leave bad reviews, I’m normally pretty lenient and accepting of flaws with items I purchase, I’m not technologically challenged nor do I give up without trying to troubleshoot why something isn’t working. I bought one singular outlet for a very simple task. I wanted to schedule a light to turn on for 12 hours a day. That’s it. Nothing fancy, no sunrise or sunset, no proximity if this then that settings. Just a simple schedule. I have repaired and reset the plug. I’ve tried (many many many times) to update it to no avail, it doesn’t struggle. It just doesn’t do ANYTHING. Half of the time to app doesn’t even recognize it as being on the network in spite of being within 15 feet of a router. The schedule function in the app? Half the time doesn’t even show my schedule I’ve repeatedly set up. Tried setting up a scene and using if 8am turn on and if 8pm turn off. None of it works. Not a single feature. What I’m left with is a bulky plug that I can toggle on and off when and only if I’m home. Which is absolutely useless. I already can do that. It’s called a light switch. I’m either going to return this and buy the tp-link variety that seems to be widely accepted as the gold standard, or I’ll simply throw this in the garbage because that’s where it belongs. Or I might just get a mechanical timer, like I have in the past. You know what doesn’t fail to do what I want? A mechanical timer. Silly me for thinking technology had come far enough to just work. If 0 stars were an option I’d give this 0 stars.

> 24 hourLove these. Super easy to set up, especially if you already have the Smart Life app on your phone. Ours works great with Smart Life and Google Assistant/Google Home. I really appreciate that these are designed not to block adjacent outlets too.

> 24 hourThese work great with Alexa! I have two plugs so far. It is a bit tricky to set up using Smartlife but once you get the hang of it it is solid. A great feature is that the device also has time-clock capability. You can schedule on and off times (or just one) so if you forget to turn something on or off, you are covered. The instructions are typically poor and need to be translated into workable English; but if you download SmartLife on your wifi phone it will automatically discover the plug and then you can name it anything you want for Alexa.

> 24 hourEnergy monitoring is a welcome feature that I wish more smart outlets would include as a default. Apparently my desktop computer setup uses 11 watts while idle even with everything turned off. Cant wait to see how much energy I can save with my entertainment setup too. EZ Mode failed after several attempts, AP Mode worked but was a bit of a struggle. AP Mode creates its own wifi hotspot that your phone is supposed to connect to and pass along the 2.4 Ghz network details that way. But with most Android phones if a Wifi connection doesnt have internet, like the outlets hotspot it will drop the connection and reconnect to your default wifi so in order to complete the process you need to have your phone forget your normal local wifi connections for the duration of the setup. After all that it works very well with the associated app and integrates perfectly with Google Home.
