This bit has been perfect for forming 3/4” hardwood. It’s very sharp with a great bearing and I expect to use it for a long time.

Honestly Im judging this with only using it for a few days so far. Its still a solid bit though and a decent replacement/ upgrade from a lesser known bit that lived out its best days.

Im giving the bit itself 5 stars. This is my first Freud bit, I wanted to start small and cheap to decide for myself whether all the hype over Freud bits is true...it is! The bearing is silky smooth, the cut is clean and burr free and the edge stay sharp, what else could you want!? As for the product description, watch out. The Amazon description claims you will get a two flute bit and a three flute bit...I figured, not a bad price for two bits. What actually arrived?...a single, two flute bit. After chatting with customer service, he agreed the description did indeed reference a two bit(pardon the pun) set, and agreed to send a replacement. The replacement, another single two flute bit...after talking again, Amazon agreed to refund $5 to my CC and allow me to keep both bits(the original and the replacement). So in the end, I got two bits for ~8, not bad, but Im not sure if theyd do the same again. So, bit quality, a resounding 5 stars, product description, 1 star, Amazon CS, 5 stars...sounds like a 4 star average to me!

This bit is a definite step up from the cheap bits that are similarly priced for a multi-pack. The bit cuts well and the bearing spins well. Make sure that you have good contact with the bearing as the bearing guard will cut into the template. I subtracted a star do to a chip in one of the carbide cutters. It looks like the tool was dropped during packaging. There’s a small chunk of carbide missing and a a scrape across the body. I know this isn’t a high end bit, but Freud is known to be better than that. Overall a great bit and works well on the HDPE sheet I need it for. Would recommend.

Freud makes top quality tools, and this bit is no exception. This bit cuts very cleanly and is so sharp it makes shavings (not dust) when I cut with it. If you look in the picture you will see the shavings and the super clean and smooth cut the bit made in end grain rock maple. The bit I received cuts perfectly flush and does not have the problem that some other reviewers have reported. of the bearing and cutting edges not lining up.

Used this to build a new countertop with an undermount sink cutout. The counter is made of two sheets of MDO plywood glued together at 1 thickness. This bit performed phenomenally for what I needed. Stopped every foot or so to cool it off with the shopvac but it cut beautifully with no chipping or signs of wear. I was nervous about cutting using the sink as a template but it worked perfectly... Hopefully it holds up for future jobs.

I had 30 parts to cut and did not want to use a jig saw to cut the. I made a jig and routed them all in about 1/2 hour. Very happy with them.

I needed a longer bit for some of the projects I was doing and this worked great. Getting the bit out of the package was a little harder than it should be and I had to find another case to store it in so I dont accidentally cut myself just trying to get it out. The bearing and cutting diameter were good on the one I received and it cut great for a long time. By the end of my project it did start to dull and I got more burning than I like. I will see if I can sharpen it.

Given the reviews, I was nervous about a perfect cut, but ALL the brands had similar bad reviews, so I figured a trusted brand like Freud would be the best bet. Well, I cant speak for everybodys, but MY flush trim bit works great. Perfectly flat.
