Greater than one weekFirst time user. I think it is working so far. I don’t smell mixed food smell when I open my refrigerator. Hope it works at least for a month, it’s only been a week since I placed the deodorizer in the refrigerator

> 3 daySo my husband - god love him - one of the chores he has is trash. That includes pulling food from the fridge that needs to go. We brought home some left over sushi and it sat. About three weeks go by and I tell him he needs to get it out of the house even if its just putting it in a bag. Doesnt happen. By week 5 my fridge REEKS of god knows what combination of smells. It prompts him very swiftly to purge the fridge of anything out of date that could be contributing to the smell. We live in FL and so shutting the fridge down for a deep clean at the beginning of summer is the worst idea. I try baking soda in a bowl, shaking it every time I open the fridge. I ended up googling ways to purge the smell without having to shut it down and found the recommendation for activated charcoal. So off to Amazon I go. I found these and I liked the compact size with the and rush order a set. I would say with in a matter of a day or two the smell was gone. My fridge had no smells what so ever. And the fact that I can take them out, set them on the window seal for some sun time to help keep it going is great. Easily hands down one of my best buys on Amazon to date. And as things go - I may buy more just to help with rooms with smells.

> 3 dayLong story short - these Fridge Deodorizers work. On to the story: My husband and I purchased a stand-up freezer for the garage and I began to fill the freezer with my bargain meat finds (NY strip steaks, half ham, whole chicken, etc). Unfortunately, there was a power outage while we were out of town and the freezer did not turn back on once power was restored. Without getting too graphic - the smell was nauseating. Once the fridge was cleaned up, every time I opened the freezer that smell was there. My husband said that the smell was gone, but I was the one who found the bloated, so gross meat, that the scent will forever be etched in my nose. I purchased these deodorant packs as a last-ditch effort to clean that smell out of the fridge and they worked. It did take a few months but that smell is gone. We did have a fridge repair guy come out and he couldnt find anything wrong, but my husband thinks he replaced a circuit board as the fridge was brand new. Time will tell, but the only items currently in that freezer are various types of bread.

> 3 dayI bought these as an alternative because I couldn’t find fridge boxes of baking powder. There was a terrible old bologna smell stinking up my full size fridge- days after I’d thrown it away. This took about 2 days to fully neutralize it, but there was marked improvement after the first day. I haven’t used the recharge feature.

> 3 dayMuch more effective and long lasting than baking soda. I have one on a shelf and one in the cheese drawer. To last one year before recharging.
