Got this after reading about a poor kid loosing his life after a Ikea bookshelf fell on him. After installing, I can confirm, these are more sturdy than the OEM Ikea wall straps that come with their shelves.

Works perfect for smaller furniture that could easily tip. Seems very sturdy.

I only had an issue with one book shelf the piece you screw into the book case the screw cracked the wood so I’d be careful when installing. But the rest was easy to install and use the zip ties. The concept is inexpensive and works to hold bookshelves tight and sturdy no wobbling. Zip ties are also reusable so that’s good. Keeps your little kids safe that like crawling and climbing on furniture.

I was looking at something similar at home Depot but they were twice as much. I am comparing the quality and this look exactly the same or maybe a little thicker which is great. I am using this to secure my shelves since my little nephew likes to climb on them. I will upload more pictures once they are installed but so far so good.

Very sturdy! Absolutely worth the time to install if your have a walking baby or a baby that pulls up on things!

Ive used this product to secure shelves. I think the screws and attachments to the wall they provide is fine quality, but the zip ties that youre suppose to use to connect attachments between the wall and your shelf are not sturdy at all. I could easily untie the ziptie by hand. No I know there is a tab you can press to untie zipties, but this is not what Im referring to. Zipties were just not sturdy and easily untied upon applying some pressure.

This was so easy to install and very sturdy. I have 2 twin toddlers climbing on all the furniture and I don’t have to worry about them tipping over

Used to adhere heavy bookcase. I used 6 of these instead of 2 because they didn’t feel heavy duty enough. They were easy to install. Beware when installing into drywall.

We were using these in our house feeling confident that our 10 month old was safe. Yesterday I was installing some more in a new room, and discovered that the zip ties come apart, rendering them useless, with light to moderate force (the amount of force a toddler can exert while climbing a piece of furniture). Right now we are adding tape to the zip ties to make them slightly more effective until the new straps we ordered arrive. Gave two stars because they were easy to install. So maybe these straps are adequate for very light objects. Either way, be very, very careful when using this product as a furniture strap.
