> 3 dayWe bought this for our son for Christmas. Although it’s a nice scooter, the brake is so stiff that my son isn’t able to operate it. You have to use your body weight to push it down on to the back tire. My husband can barely engage it. Not sure if it’s just a defect in the one we have or if they really just come that hard to push down. Nonetheless, he still uses it, but I feel like it’s a bit unsafe.

> 3 dayWaiting for a response from Nextsport regarding this X5 Pro scooter that I purchased. In all fairness to this seller, I will update my full evaluation when I conclude with Nextsport regarding this Scooter. ...it has major Headset defect Issues with both of the X5s I received. UPDATE: The design of this scooter appears well. The wheels are above average. The Bearings are ABEC 9 which is above average as well. The bar is strong and the 3 bolt clamp is average in quality for this pricepoint. One hand grip wore out very fast. One grip disintegrated down to the bar within two weeks while the other grip did not which is strange. But that is not a deal breaker at this price point. Grips are a fast wearing item. And are cheap to get, even better quality ones. But in execution it fails at the headset. It will always loosen. It doesnt stay Dialed. The headset bearings and cups inserted within the decks headtube are loose fitting. They should be press-fitted. This causes constant loosening after little use. My 9yo son weighs 82 lbs. He is an intermediate user. He has scooted since he was 5. And he needs me to tighten the headset every 15 minutes or so at the local skate park. He doesnt grind or anything like that. I have learned to bring my hex wrenches or the day is a bust. Nextsport has excellent Customer service. They sent me a second X5, and told me to keep the first one. For spare parts, I thought that was nice. I received the second one very fast, from Cali to NYC. Unfortunately I encountered the exact same issues. Just poor quality at the headset and deck tube. Same problem. A mass production run of this is apparent. I disassembled the headset and measured with my caliper as with the first X5. The parts are just dimensionally wrong fitting. I am very familiar with scooters and skateboards having wrenched on them for years. Today I spoke with Nextport and explained that unfortunately I cannot return this through AMZ because the window for that closed. I explained that another third replacement would be fruitless. They said that a refund would be appropriate and that is their policy to maintain cust. satisfaction even after the return window has closed.. They said to keep the Two X5s and that my refund would be processed within 3 days. That said, I would rank Nextsport as an honest company and that they exceeded their responsibilty as a seller here on Amazon. My son cant ride this X5 any longer as I feel it is not suitable for him or most riders unless you carry a hex wrench to fix it every 15 minutes, and it will take 10 minutes to disassemble and retighten the headset. You have to remove and re-center the bar every time as well. When it loosens, the steering gets real sloppy and all related headset components wear excessively. Even casual street riding exhibits the above noted issues. But in the end, Nextsport provided quality support and stated they will refund me the purchase price. I can move on and buy a different brand scooter for my son. If this is your first time purchase of a scooter, the X5 scooter may seem like the wheels are getting loose after some initial use, but in actuality it is the headset. This will require some knowledge of scooters that is not discussed well in the X5 manual. The headset is the most important and most sensitive component in any scooter. Do a drop test of the scooter from about 6 inches high. The noise heard, should sound like a solid thud with no vibration and that is considered dialed. If it sounds like a bag of coins falling, it is not dialed. And should be fixed, not used. If you buy this X5, you can be sure that the Customer Service is dependable at least. I just feel this model X5 is not a good example of Fusions Scooter Brand. Im sure hundreds if not several thousands of these X5s have been produced this way. Im sure Fusions Sponsored Pro riders would not attempt using this X5. Perhaps if they did, the headset issue would have been solved/ corrected during 2018 X5 production. FYI, I noticed a a paid review on this page showing her daughter on a Fusion scooter giving high praise. She states that she was provided the scooter for review at a discounted price, and i say, probably for free. As this is common place for sellers to do here on AMZ. Free product in exchange for a well detailed POSITIVE review. Unfortunately, she is NOT reviewing the same X5 scooter being sold here. The scooter says PRO X5 on its labling. It is completely different than the Described X5 shown here. The review appears impressive, but be careful. She is a professional Amazon reviewer. LOL. See the Video for yourself. You decide... I gave 3 Stars. Enjoy Scooting :-)

Greater than one weekVery great product! Bought it for my daughter and we sometimes ride on it as well. It still works as wonder. The front wheel is very flexible just be aware while you carry it around! The whole thing will swing forward and get your ankle! I assume maybe that happens to other scooters as well not uniquely to this product
