> 24 hourIts large but its great for easy at a glance updates and info. Only hassle is while hunting. When taking off a heavy pack the straps always hang up on my watch. I dont use the map but I do use the tracking. The map on a 1.2 screen is impossible to read but I suppose if you were lost itsbetter than nothing. I do use the compass, tracking, sight and go feature and way points a lot. Each night back in camp I can review my hunt on my tablet. For work I use it to tell time... Imagine that! Also for notifications and finding my phone when Ive missed placed it. Thats another cool feature, when paired with your phone your watch notifies you if you are out of range. This feature has been a great reminder for me not to leave my phone or helped not get too far from a dropped or misplaced phone.

> 24 hourLove This Watch. Im not a big review writer but I must tell everyone that this is a great watch. I must first tell everyone that I purchased a Fenix 5 and sent it back, because the menu button didnt work. Then I purchased a forerunner 935 because of reviews that I had read. I really liked the 935. Functionality is exactly the same as the Fenix 5. I kept it for nearly a month and then decided that the plastic look just wasnt for me. I decided to upgrad to the 5x strictly for vanity reasons. It looks better. While I was concerned about the size I actually really like the larger size. Im a big guy and it doesnt look too big. Its also not heavy, like I thought it would be. I think I have looked at every fitness watch on the market. I hate the thought of charging a watch. I travel a lot and am absent minded so I will just forget. With daily exercise and no gps, I charge the watch about once ever 14 days, which works for me. I almost never take this watch off. I swim, shower and do everything else and it just works. Just getting into the different apps and watch faces. My wife has a Fitbit and I just cant understand how people charge a watch every other day and take it off to shower. I shower at the gym and would definitely lose it. In all honesty, I could live without the notifications but they also work really well. Anyway, I love this watch. Ill update my review of I find any issues.

> 24 hourI recently bought this Garmin sports watch at Amazon, and I thought about it for a long time, compared to other brands, and then I chose Garmin, and I caught up with this discount promotion, and I bought it, and I felt like it was worth it. First of all, I want to express this device first, really good! Secondly, although this watch is a little big for me, it means that the watch is not suitable for thin people because their arms are very thin. But that doesnt mean I like this watch. He has a full range of functions, running, walking, triathlon (though my current training is not designed to do this), swimming, and so on. Recording the number of steps and heart rate monitoring is very accurate, calorie consumption and stress monitoring are also great. It can also add some widgets, such as weather and gyroscopes, and so on. Its what I like very much. The watchs biggest feature, GPS, is very powerful. Built-in bike route maps, as well as TOPO maps, are ideal for cyclists and walkers. Very convenient, the map is very intuitive. One of the features I value is that the watch lasts a long time, and I can now guarantee that I can charge it for more than 15 days and use it normally. Watch and mobile phone can be easily connected, mobile phone app can clearly display all kinds of recorded data, very convenient. The strap can also be removed quickly if I like other types of watch band, I can also buy the corresponding watch band, very nice. On the whole, this watch is powerful, has a long life and meets my requirements. I like it very much.

> 24 hourBeautiful watch but typical Garman operating system and dark hard to see backgrounds. There’s 3 different menus, took me 3 days or so to figure out some of it. The connect app which you need didn’t have the oxy pulse on it???? Wife’s does, so thought maybe it had to go through the computer to add it in. Garman connect app wouldn’t even find the watch. Lots of connection issues watch to all apps you need to work this complicated thing. Would be great watch for someone who enjoys dickering around finding functions on the various button menus. I’m an old guy who started on windows 3.1 and sick of learning new OS. Espeacially garman stuff that won’t connect up half the time, literally! Sent it back and put my old timex back on!

> 24 hour100% love this watch and wear it a my daily watch in addition to, of course, my training. Im not going to get into all of the specifics about the watchs functions and capabilities. Ill just let you know why I like it. Im new to the whole tracking your fitness with your watch game - so I immediately decided to just get the best of the best and go with this one. I love this watch, and how it syncs so seamlessly with the Garmin App. I love being able to have all of my runs and workouts stored in the app so effortlessly. I love having my texts and other notifications pop up on the watch instead of having to grab my phone - I am a wedding videographer full-time so its nice to be able to check texts coming in from my assistant without having to drop what Im doing to reach for my phone. No, you cant respond to notifications from the watch directly, but who cares? It would be silly to try and reply from your watch or TALK to your watch anyways. I leave my phone at home on my runs so I like how I can come home and have all of the data sync up immediately after my runs. GPS works great. HRM works well.. I cant find anything bad to say about this watch, honestly. Satisfied customer - money well spent -

> 24 hourCurrently only reviewing the look of the product along with basic functions. I bought this as a gift for my wife. After she has used it for different sports and activities for a while I will review. I have the Fenix 5X Sapphire to compare along with it. Initial review is 5 out of 5. Very clean, no noticable scratches or smudges. Even came the original charger and booklets, with the bonus of an extra quick changing watch strap!

> 24 hourI was not asked to write this review nor paid for it. Its a great watch, let alone a great smart watch. Use it for running, and hiking mostly. Have to scout out places for the upcoming hunting season! I like saving points via gps for later use. I mostly use the silicone band over the metal unless I am dressing up. (Just a quick thing for hunters: Having accurate map gps on your watch as a backup is a huge. If my Rhino fails, I can use my watch, etc.) I use a second HR sensor for HIT training, weight lifting and crossfit. It connects easily, with zero problems. The HR on the watch works great for most exercises except for the above. Having the ability to download watch faces is pretty cool. I enjoy having my workout watch face during the day and a classic looking watch face for the evening. Without heavy gps use, my watch lasted about 2 weeks with zero problems. With everyday light gps use during workouts or hiking, it last just over a week. I would recommend this watch to anyone that might be on the fence about it. I dont own another smart watch nor have I.

> 24 hourI have been using Garmin for several years now to track my running (road and Trail), cycling (road and mtb) and swimming (pool and open water). I debated long and hard about going to the Fenix 5x and compared to the latest comparable Suunto products and other Garmin products (935), but in the end decided to stay with Garmin and the Fenix. I’ve had the forerunner 310 and 920 and found them solid and reliable. The only real issues I’ve had were operator created issues...if Garmin could just read my mind that would be great so tracking could start when I forget. 1 week into using the Fenix and I really am impressed with the Fenix. I’ve had it outside running, on the treadmill, in the pool and tracking my indoor bike training sessions...there has been a slight learning curve, but I have been able to jump right in and use the Fenix and it has performed flawlessly. One of the benefits of getting the Fenix 5x a year after its launch is that many of the bugs and issues I saw others report seem to be worked out. GPS picks up incredibly fast and tracking has been accurate. It is heavier than my 920 which I’m adapting to. I was also worried about the screen resolution, but so far I have found it clear and easy to read. I have used some screen faces and custom fields that were too small for me to see comfortably, but I just switch to something more friendly to my eye sight. I will likely provide another update after using the Fenix 5x for the next few months of a busy race (run and Tri) season.

> 24 hourGarmin simply makes GREAT watches for athletes (who want some minimal smart watch features too!). Before this I bought FITBIT products and was always returning them before a year of use expired due to the watch stopping functionally or band detaching from the watch. Not to mention the fitbit branded products had minimal battery life. I love the fact that this watch can go at least a week between charges (with reasonable daily 1hr runs using GPS). Along with the activity tracking, the watch offers several apps as well as message display which keeps me from always having to pull my phone out of my pocket to see what notification popped up on the screen. Perks: * decent GPS tracking - maps are nice on the watch as well when youre out and hiking about with little guidance on the trail signage. Saves you from giving up too soon, or from taking a bad shortcut on the way back! * decent heartrate monitoring from wrist with support for bluetooth straps as well. * syncs with strava and many other apps through garmin or direct upload * awesome battery life Downsides: * a bit heavy, had to get used to it for a week before I could handle the extra weight. * returned the first one I bought due to a vibration feature that stopped working at full strength after a week. Other smart watches are literally battery consumers and dont even make it a day or two between charges. Who needs a watch to talk to a cell tower when you already have a phone? Id much prefer to charge once ever ~2 weeks. Really excited to get one of the newer Garmin watches with solar charging to extend this out to nearly 20-30 days (after the price drops of course - haha!).

> 24 hourIt is an item that lasts easily 5 years - impressed with battery life
