Excellent watch. Everything I wanted in a smart watch including long battery life, great workout features, precision gps. I only wish Garmin would make it out of another material as I am allergic to the current material being used.

Im not doing any hard training or serious work outs. Am not doing Geo Caching or wilderness exploring. What I wanted was to keep track of my general activity AND have a watch that I could read easily without having to tap, press buttons, or anything else. Am not sure how accurate this is in tracking heart rate or altitude and havent yet figured out how to use the GPS feature or the exercise tracking features. GPS interested me as I walk my dog in the early AM (this time of year in the dark with just a head lamp) and when we go off trail its easy to lose landmarks - so being able to figure out my trail would be easier than just wandering around blind through the undergrowth. and Ill get there in figuring out how it works. meanwhile, it is doing what I need. Am finding sleeping with it to be no problem. the battery is long lasting, but see that is a factor with how often you access the watchs features. If you let it be and just use the phone app to track your data, it will last nearly two weeks to just get to two bars. If you start tracking on the phone, it shortens that. If you were to be using the GPS, or other features daily or even more often, you will seriously reduce battery life. Charges quickly and easily

My husband has had several watches over the last few years and by far is thoroughly impressed with this Garmin. He loves the battery life and the solid rubber construction of this product. After killing 2 fitbit blazes and a cheap garmin step tracker he was looking for several features: accurate steps tracker, Long battery life, standalone GPS, and messaging notifications. This Garmin has all of them and he cant stop raving about it. He charges it once a week (doesnt use GPS often) and the battery lasts even with bluetooth enabled for notifications from his phone. Overall best value!

Prime interest for this watch model is the GPS function, independent from a phone. I am very pleased with the terrain position accuracy, which brought my position as compared to a 1:50,000 scale military map to within 25 feet distance between MGRS coordinates displayed on the map, and the actual physical location. This while at the edge of tall trees above my physical location. GPS accuracy very acceptable.

I love this product, I have used many smart watches and this by far is my favorite

When you can rely on Instinct, the world can rely on you. This rugged, reliable outdoor GPS watch is built for the U. S. Military standard 810G for thermal, shock and water resistance (Rated to 100 meters). The fiber-reinforced polymer case adds strength and durability, and the chemically-strengthened, scratch-resistant display is high-contrast enough to read in bright sunlight, so you can take it with you into the extremes you face every day. Plus, the fully vented silicone bands include two independent, removable keeper loops to ensure a secure fit and to keep you from getting caught on things. Water rating: 10 ATM.
