> 24 hourFrom the photo, it looked like a small carabiner that would clip on the lanyard holes in the bottom of my eTrex30. Its not. Its a large carabiner that slides onto the case and includes a large belt mount. I usually wear my eTrex on a lanyard around my neck and tuck it in a front pocket. Thisll take some modification of how I use the eTrex, but Ill give it a try.

> 24 hourI didnt think I would like having my Garmin flopping around on a strap but it hangs unobtrusively off a belt or pack without being irritating. If i was being picky I would like it to actually be attached inverted so I could simply lift up the unit to look at it. Unfortunately it hangs with the unit right side up. Basically if I clipped it on a friends backpack in front of me it would be easy to glance at and see where I am in relation to my track or landmarks. But hanging on my belt I either have to lift and twist it around to see it right side up or usually I just un-clip it completely. Not the end of the world and still very happy with the item. Worked great for an 8 miler through some pretty rough terrain.

> 24 hourWorks very well. Does not easily come off of the garmin. Keeps my 64s close at hand on my pack shoulder strap. I do not mind having to remove it to view the gps as a gps should only be used when needed. The placement is good, in an emergency situation it is perfectly placed at the pack shoulder strap. Similar to a morikniva which has a button hole for the jacket chest button. In an emergency you are likely to end up with your hands close in, a good example is in a bear attack, Kodiak guides will keep a knife on their chest. Similarly if you were to become injured it is much easier to access a gps attached to your chest than one on your hip or buried in your pack. The only aspect that I do not like is that the unit is highly visible and anyone who sees it will know that you’re carrying high end gear, not that there are many thieves roaming the wilderness but you never know. Overall I like this better than the other options and I’ve found it to be the most secure offering by garmin. Highly recommend.

> 24 hourReally like easy to clip on hunting vest. Trimmed bottom edge of clip that attaches to control to allow recharging without removing clip.
