Greater than one weekThis Heart Rate Monitor is great and much more reliable than Garmins newer Soft Strap (P/N: HRM2-SS). I have had nothing but trouble with the Soft Strap: readings erratically ramping up, then dropping way down, the cutting in and out, etc. But, this heart rate monitor is more durable and consistent. Additionally, the battery is much easier to change out, as with the Soft Strap you have to remove 4 small screws to do so: you have to have a very small Phillips head screw driver, and if youre not careful you could easily lose one of the tiny screws. I just dont understand why Garmin had to change to this type of battery compartment, as it is a step backwards in design.

> 3 dayThe OEM strap made 8 years, at least. This one didn’t make 2 with less average monthly use. Not impressed at the quality. Would not recommend

> 3 dayProduct has good elasticity that springs back strongly to original size. There arent any fraying edges so product seems well constructed. Its not irritating to wear. You barely notice it when youre exercising. My only complaint is that its a little large for smaller torsos like a 57 115lb woman (my wife). I wish I could make it smaller so that it doesnt slide down.....

> 3 dayVery good product! It is definitely a good replacememt to my old one. In my case, my heart strap was from another brand called Oregon Scientific and it fits perfectly.
