Genuine Honda (08E60-S9A-100) Keyless Entry Unit

Perfect for a 2003 Honda Element EX with power door locks but no keyless entry option. It was a bit of a pain to program, the instructions don’t tell you the fobs won’t work until you take the key out of the ignition after programming. I sat there wondering why they wouldn’t work for a time. Overall a great OEM product.

My 2003 Element has the cursed door locks, and I finally gave up on getting them rekeyed again. This OEM keyless entry unit took 30 seconds tops to install. Open the fuse panel, look up to the left to find the green plug waiting for this unit, plug this unit in, close fuse panel. Already programmed so it worked the first time, every time. Could not be happier!

Another super easy upgrade to my Honda Element! I used to have to unlock the passenger door to get into my car because the drivers door lock didnt work anymore. I first replaced the actuator for the drivers power door lock, thinking that was the problem. Did that, and all that changed was the lock would go up and down electrically, but I still couldnt enter through the drivers side. This unit was super easy to install (make sure your wiring harness will accommodate it), and presto!! I still cant use the actual key, but the key fob works great and saved me the headache of taking the door apart and trying to wriggle around in there.

Easy to install, and worked great for 2 weeks, but in less than a month the batteries sometimes work, sometimes not, so its always a toss up if it will unlock or not w remote. Since its on my secondary car, it isnt driven much, so couldnt have been used more than 25 times. Guess I expected more for 100 bucks. :(
