The charcoal fabric filter could be more sturdy, after a few washes it loses its shape & integrity.

I found the genuine filter at this time to only be $1 more expensive than the off brands. Decided to go with a genuine. Came quickly an came with the charcoal pre-filter, which I had a hard time figuring out if it did on some listings. It did fit a little more snug than the original one that came with the air purifier. This is my first replacement so Im not sure if thats common or just a mishap. Either way it still works fine and I plan to keep vacuuming the pre-filter every 2 weeks.

While these are just filters, the machine from this manufacturer is also very good. I have issues with allergies, bronchitis and asthma but these systems, including the filters offer relief. Recent years added significant wildfire smoke in this region, but I got through that as well. Like this brand

You can reorder easily and you can wash the black filter and not have to replace the entire filter so much.

These Guardian air purifier filters are the absolute best. Even though they are small and for a smaller air purifier, they do an outstanding job at cleaning the air and making it fresh and breathable, especially for people like me who have allergies and asthma. And they do this even in a house with a lot of animals. I’m so impressed by how well these air filters work. I keep coming back and getting this brand filter for my air purifier because it simply does the job right. Highly recommend.

Works but could be better fitting into filter and more sealed

Easy to install, not terribly expensive and does what it is supposed to do. The amount of dust it catches is amazing.

Ive been buying these for a few years now and they just changed how the black filter is made. Im not a fan of the new material at face value. It looks like a way cheaper quality material and one that Ive never seen before in any HEPA filter. Im now happy about the change so far. Im still undecided if the change has degraded the quality of the filter in general. It also makes me question whether the white filter design was also cheapened. I was pretty happy with the Gem Guardian until now. UPDATE: Ive had this new filter in for about a week now and I was shocked how much dust was already on the black filter already. Im thinking this new style filter actually filters out more than the old one does so Im increasing my rating to 4 stars now. I also washed the black part and it didnt fall apart as expected and was surprisingly easier to clean than the older one. The old design would have dust getting stuck inside the holes of the filter and Id have to wash it for a while before i could get everythign out of it. The new one seemed to clean up much easier because the holes in the filter arent as big. It cleaned up well and didnt degrade like I expected. Overall Im actually liking the new design better now.
