We use this filter every night while our sons are sleeping. It’s aggravating to have to constantly check the pricing because it changes regularly. We are about to switch purifiers if I have to pay $20 a filter now when I can get the machine for sometimes as low as under $50.

I found the genuine filter at this time to only be $1 more expensive than the off brands. Decided to go with a genuine. Came quickly an came with the charcoal pre-filter, which I had a hard time figuring out if it did on some listings. It did fit a little more snug than the original one that came with the air purifier. This is my first replacement so Im not sure if thats common or just a mishap. Either way it still works fine and I plan to keep vacuuming the pre-filter every 2 weeks.

We got this during the recent Purpleair smoke event from the Canadian Wildfires, which came down & blanketed my city. I went outside the first day not knowing anything was going on & it smelled like a building was on fire We have this small Germ Guardian air purifier, is germ guardian one word? Probably anyway weve had it on/off for the last year or more. Needling to change filters due to the poor air quality & the fact the old filter was likely useless, we got this. Its not like this is a $500 air purifier to begin with so i wasnt expecting a new filter to change that but it works well enough for what it is.

The filter lasts about 3 months in my experience. The bulb has worked fine for over a year.

Small air filter, but does a great job of cleaning up the air you breathe. I’m a smoker in two rather small Rooms. I turn this unit on while smoking, & turn it up higher in the evening before going to bed. The air is clean in the morning. I don’t smell nicotine when I come downstairs. I love this little unit. Small, but effective!

I had my filter replaced about a year ago. Longer than the recommended. But the charcoal filter this time is a lot harder than what it was previously. Im not sure why but its noted that the charcoal filter was also a bit creased towards the top of the filter. The box was not damaged in anyways so it wouldnt be due to shipping. Maybe its due to packaging. Anyhow, the filter functions fine and theres no smell either which is great. The HEPA filter is the same as what it was previously.

I love my Germ Guardian air purifier, and the filters work very well! I live on the coast where its continuously damp, so were prone to mildew and mold. We also live in an older building that hasnt had many renovations, so dust is a huge problem as well. I use the air purifier in my bedroom and it does a wonderful job of keeping the air much more clean and breathable. I also use some charcoal moisture/odor absorbers in closets and underneath the bathroom sink as extra precautions. I keep the Germ Guardian running literally around the clock, and its held up beautifully! Definitely worth the $60!

Easy to install, not terribly expensive and does what it is supposed to do. The amount of dust it catches is amazing.

This is a HEPA-rated air filter for a unit I use in my bedroom at night to help me sleep. After about 6 months use I needed to replace my worn filter for a new one. This one fit the bill. I suppose it cleans and filters the air, the filter sure looks like its battle-worn. So pop in the new one and I suppose its doing its job and cleaning the air I breath. Dont know if it works against Covid or not but taking no chances. My inside air is going to be fresh and clean with two different air filters running, both HEPA, as well as my home a/c unit with HEPA filter.

These filters last for less time than they say they are supposed to. And, the charcoal filters are not as effective as some of the other brands available. However, they do work well for about a month & 1/2. Nowhere near the 6months as stated on their product information! Ive found that it does a much better job when I use their HEPA filter with another brand of charcoal filter. If you are thinking of buying an air filter from Germguardian, Id suggest that you buy one to two sizes larger than they recommend for small rooms.
