> 24 hourI bought these razor blade refills four months ago for my husband when they were on a lightning deal. Each blade has lasted him about two weeks, shaving head, face and body, which is comparable to his previous blades. He says he gets a slightly closer shave with these than the more basic 5-blade Gillette refills we’d been getting at Costco, but only slightly. He didn’t notice much of a difference with blade drag while shaving. Overall, he likes them, but enough to pay $30 for 8 blades? We’ll either wait to get them on a lightning deal again or go back to the previous 11 blade refill pack, which we can normally find at $32. If these blades provided a much better shaving experience, the price difference might be worth it, but when the difference between blades is so nominal, the price difference really isn’t really warranted.

> 24 hourGillette sent me a sample of the new razor and blades to review. I had used their Mach 3 blades exclusively before trying the Fusion Proshield Chill razor. The most notable difference in my experience was the extra strip of lubrication before the blades. This strip makes the shaving experience noticeably more smooth. It took some getting used to, however, as I pushed the blade into my skin harder to actually feel it cutting hair. This led to small cuts and razor burn until I adapted to the new feeling. Once I trusted that it was doing its job and stopped pressing so hard, I stopped getting cut. The extra strip of lubrication also made edging nearly impossible with the standard 5 blades. Gillette thought of this and added a secret 6th blade to the back of the razor. One might need to use this blade to clean up sideburns or edge a beard when only shaving the neck. The extra precision trimmer blade has no lubrication so it feels like a traditional razor. Its uncomfortable in comparison to the heavily-promoted 5 blades with 2 strips of lubrication, but necessary to get a clean edge. I didnt like this method of edging, just because it seemed sloppy and could easily irritate the skin if you need to cover more than a millimeter of distance. The so-called Chill Cooling Technology seems like nothing other than a marketing gimmick. I could not feel any cooling sensation. This doesnt take away form the fact that the shave itself was very smooth; just not noticeably cool. The blades seem durable. They can easily stand 5-10 shaves without any noticeable degradation. Overall, the Fusion Proshield Chill razor is a good choice for those looking for an incredibly smooth shave. If you dont need the extra lubrication, it will feel cumbersome and unnecessary.

> 24 hourA 5000 percent increase in blades. Ive been using these blades since I was in the Marine Corps. The blades are we made but only about two weeks per blade if you stretch the life of each blade. Yes they are the best on the market but I did find cheaper at Sams and Costco still high priced but more for less money. I will buy because I like but I have to find where I get them cheaper

> 24 hourI left Gillette 5 years ago after their male put-down but I got fed up with Dollar Shave Clubs restrictions and refusal to answer emails. I am now back and I am glad I tried Gillette again. The blades are much longer lasting than they were and the shave is excellent. I have been shaving for 61 years and this is the best product Gillette has ever offered (yes, I was a steady Gillette customer for all that time except for the last 5 years).
