Gillette ProGlide Mens Razor Blade Refills, 8 Count

I received these blades from Gillette in order to review. I liked the power razors and thought that they gave me a good shave. I havent priced these compared to the regular-non power blades. I have used both and if one was cheaper I would go with that one. I like the closeness of the shave. I will check how much these are at the store. Thanks Gillette for allowing me to try.

I recently received these blades from a promotion run by Gillete and boy I am glad I did!! This is by far the closest shave that I have gotten from a disposable razor. It runs smooth across my face and doesnt give me any nicks or cuts like most do on the very first shave. The great thing is I shave everyday and this razor is still giving me the same closeness after 2 weeks!! I can only imagine how much I can save on blades if I can get 3+ weeks out of one cartridge. Great job Gillete!!

These blades really don’t seem to last particularly long. They are promoted as “buy these and you are stocked up for a year or so of shaves.” This is hardly the case, after a few weeks, blades start to wear out and before the end of the month you are purchasing more refills for a high price. One box of four for example may if you are lucky last you about a month or so. Certainly not six months to a year.

They cut hairs like they are supposed to, what else can I say.

I really didnt like the razor at all. it didnt give me a nice clean shave. I had to go over the same spot atleast 2 to 3 times. I ended up having razor burn.

Thanks to a program run by Gillette that my wife signed me up for I got to try these for free, and was very pleased. Ill start by admitting that my facial hair grows very fast, and due to having to be at work early I should honestly shave again in the afternoon. Thanks to these blades the problem isnt nearly as bad, and I dont feel like I look scruffy halfway through my work day. The shave is nice and close and lasts longer than it normally does, plus I have less irritation and nicks than I had before. The moisture strip is really good, my wife even commented that my face felt softer. Yes, it does get less great as the blades dull, but really, that happens with every razor. Then again, with my thick hair I probably have to change out more often than other already.

Nothing beats Gillette when it comes to a close shave! I have tried Dollar Shave Club and Harrys- neither one does a great job (in my opinion) compared to Gillette. I will absolutely pay a little more for a smoother shave. Luckily, these prices on Amazon are a bit cheaper than buying from a local store.
