Excellent scissors

I bought this on the basis of other reviews and found this supplier offered the best price. Very solidly made scissors good for a variety of tasks including cutting leather. Delivery was prompt but was delayed a bit as a result of a screwup by my post office. I got it redelivered through a USPS internet link.

Good quality worth it

One word says it all...Gingher... you really dont have to look any farther than that. Yes, they were sharp, cuts 12 oz leather like butter, and fits in the holster I made for them.... buy a pair, leave them to your Grandchildren...

I misplaced my old leather shears that Ive had for the last 12 years, and I was worried that I wouldnt find another pair as good as they were. I bought these and have been very pleased with them. They are extremely sharp, cut smoothly, and are big enough for my big hands. I do wish the teeth on the bottom were a bit more aggressive, for when I cut heavier leather, but I can use them the way they are.

Cuts through 12 oz. leather like butter. Worth the money without a doubt.

Good quality worth it

These made cutting my 9oz leather strips a cake walk. They are sharp, sturdy, and feel good in your hand. They are comfortable and heavy- they feel good.

I have two pair of these shears. My first I bought over 25 years ago, when I could barely afford them, as additions to my growing Professional Propmaker’s tool collection. SERIOUS scissors! I labeled them “DO NOT BORROW” because the knife edge can be easily damaged by dummies. I was working in my small workshop on Spielberg’s film “Hook”, when an Art Department designer came into my sop after hours, and cut SKATEBOARD GRIP TAPE with them!!! Well, as you can imagine, they were MESSED UP! I was ANGRY! I raised HELL and eventually the Perp’ came forward. He got to buy me a NEW pair, and have the old ones re-sharpened. And apologize. Both those scissors are going strong these many years later. They cut thick material, thin, fibrous, rough and fine fabrics, rubbery, adhesive tapes, anything but grip tape, or the like, really. I LOVE them. You cant do better for this kind of non-serrated scissor. Ginger is a great company. Made in Brazil, last I checked, where many fine cutting tools are made.
