Gingher 8 Knife Edge Blunt Utility Shears

Ill admit that Ive been disappointed in this product. I do a lot of leather work using 5-7 ounce leather, and these shears do cut through it, but not as easily as so many reviews claim. I find myself having to massage my hand due to the strain after just a few cuts. I primarily use a utility knife and only use the shears when making tightly-curved cuts would be difficult with the utility knife, but I rarely find these curved cuts to be particularly smooth/nice as I was used to with my previous leather shears. As far as I know, its not my method thats yielding these results, since I have cut countless tight curves with my previous shears without the same kind of quality issue. All in all, these shears gets the job done and are good for someone doing a lot of wide curves or straight cuts, but when it comes to wanting a small curve to look smooth, I actually find myself going out of my way to avoid using them.

It slices through paper and cardboard effortlessly, and thus far is holding its edge.

I have a pair of Osborns which are very good and this pair, surprisingly, is better.

Cuts through 12 oz. leather like butter. Worth the money without a doubt.

Forget the high priced Tandy stuff. These are sharper and more ergonomic than any Tandy product. I have used them on kangaroo, cowhide, and thick buffalo. They cut easier than any scissor I have tried, and are easy to maneuver.

These scissors are fantastic! Heavy enough to cut thru leather with ease and maneuvering easily with intricate stencil appliqué. Super sharp and comfortable on your hand, even when cutting through heavy thick leather. Great buy and fantastic quality
