The lid doesnt just shut and lock in place. Requires an unusual amount of force to shut the case. When its just a helmet going into the case I have to treat the lid like its overstuffed luggage and Im trying to cram in 5 days worth of more clothing to get it to shut.

No doubt about it; my research found me the best top box from a great company. They helped me thru a situation with great customer service. Plenty of room, easy to open & close & well balanced. Im a happy camper.

Mounted to my 2014 FJR1300 using the lightweight Givi SRA2109 rack mount and not the SR357 full rail kit. Note: if you do that on an FJR youll need a subframe stiffener (which I had). Holds lots of stuff, I can easily put two Nolan N-104s in it. I can fit my Shoei Neotech 2 in it but only 1 and it doesnt sit in there like the Nolans do (shell is larger),

Givi is the best

Great case at a reasonable price. Plenary of room for helmets and a good backrest for passengers. Biggest issue was Givi website and trying to figure out which case and mount combo I needed.

Good size to fit helmets and gear for overnight travels or shopping errands. Solid construction, easy to fit into mount bracket, tight connection. Locks to mounting rack and has keyed quick release. Used on a 3-day 1000 mile tour with no issues - all as expected.

Its a Givi case! What could be better? It replaced my 15yo Givi E50 without any mods. Looks much better with the lines on my DL1000. Installing the optional brake-light kit definitely helps with visibility.

Very happy got item in ,but then found out the keys was lock inside of it,but called amazon.com they came out flying colors, they got other one lm very happy with item of Givi 47 cargo unit thanks too Amazon.
