> 24 hourDO NOT BUY! I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY! I bought the 2TB Glyph blackbox plus from this seller and they sent me one that was broken. When I would insert it into my Mac or PC, they were unable to read it. They did refund me my money but it was frustrating trying to get it to work when i received it but then finding out that it had a defect. I had contacted Glyph support and told them that the blackbox plus would not stop making a beeping sound when plugged into the computer. They told me that the blackbox was defective and to return it to the seller. Also just as a side note, if you do decide on buying the blackbox plus, try the 1TB because its considerably faster than the 2TB model.

> 24 hourI like the solid build. Only time will tell in terms of whether it will hold up. Several month and seems fine. My last high capacity portable drive (different manufacturer) suffered a single 3 ft drop onto cork floor and was destroyed. USB-C port broke from encrypted internal board making data recovery possible only by expensive professional data recovery service. Hopefully this one doesnt suffer a similar fate.

> 24 hourI know there are a lot of compact drives available, but Ive settled on the Glyph BlackBox drives as being a great value, especially at their price point. Super reliable and well made, I really like the construction of the shell as well as the rubber jacket feature that adds shock protection. Have been using these pretty exclusively for a few months now and planning to order some more as my need for more memory and portable drives increases.

> 24 hourI purchased this drive for my daughter to use with her MacBook Pro when she heads to college. It is extremely quiet and appears to be rugged. My only recommendation would be to reformat the drive for timemachine even though it comes pre-formatted for Mac as after we did a timemachine backup it must have taken 3 days for it to complete the encryption. I read that this is not an issue with the drive but the way macs work.

> 24 hourAfter a bit of a challenge to configure for my MacBook Pro 2017 - works as expected. Initially the MacBook didnt recognize (as with my Passport as well). Some conflict or another.. a quick lookup on troubleshooting sites and blogs and problem solved.

> 24 hourI purchased this based on past successes with Glyph as a premium device for which I was willing to pay the extra premium. I used it as a third tier backup for important financial information. Unfortunately it failed shortly after the return deadline. I did not have it encrypted nor password protected so was reluctant to return it to Glyph for an exchange out of concern of data privacy. So I would 1) recommend not purchasing this and 2) with the one that you eventually purchase add protection so that if it fails you can feel comfortable with any return policy.
