> 3 dayI purchased this drive for my daughter to use with her MacBook Pro when she heads to college. It is extremely quiet and appears to be rugged. My only recommendation would be to reformat the drive for timemachine even though it comes pre-formatted for Mac as after we did a timemachine backup it must have taken 3 days for it to complete the encryption. I read that this is not an issue with the drive but the way macs work.
