Greater than one weekAs you can see in the photos, these will work with any size 2x lumber (2x4, 2x6, 2x8, etc.). I chose to go with a 2x6 on the bottom for added support and because visually, I think having the additional mass on the bottom is more appealing. The top 2x4 is supposed to support the top rail and prevent it from sagging, but theres one small problem. The bracket is slightly taller than the 2x4. I forgot to measure, but if the 2x4 is 3-1/2, the bracket must be 3-3/4 inches, so the 2x4 doesnt quite make contact with the bottom of the guard rail. That means I have to jump on the miter saw to trim 1/4 off of half of my brackets. No big deal, but if I was the designer of this bracket Id be kicking myself for that oversight. This is only an issue though if youre screwing from the top down through the guard rail into the 2x4 like I am. Check out the prototype I made in the photos. The end result is going to be a pretty beefy guard rail. By the way, the pink spindles are fiberglass rebar (called pinkbar, or FIBERGLASS REINFORCED POLYMER REBAR FRP Rebar) sold at the home improvement store. It comes in 10 lengths which is perfect for my 24 spindles. The cost works out to $1.36 per spindle. It can be cut with a wood saw and painted, is cheaper than steel, wont rust, is lightweight, and is sturdy enough for this application. If you kick it, it will give then bend back into shape. Ive kicked it pretty hard and it has not snapped. I cut it with a rebar cutter and that was a mistake because it crushed and splintered on me. As for spindles, the last thing I want to see after all this work is pressure treated wood spindles warping all over the place. The other negative with these brackets (and its a small one), is that the bracket creates a gap between the butt end of the 2x and the post. So if that bothers you, youll need to notch every 2x for a tight fit. Other than that, Im sold on these brackets. They look really cool and create a solid connection.

> 3 dayThese are a great and easy way to connect up some 2x4s. They easily screw into whatever you need and seem very solid once everything has been screwed in and tightened. They came with everything needed, although I did snap the screw head off a few of them before they got all the way down so you may want to replace them with stronger wood screws or pilot hole them which is something I was too lazy to do. Either way these are great brackets and look great too. For the price they are great and get a solid 10/10 rating!!

Greater than one weekFits 2x4s very nicely. They make a nice clean look compared to just face nailing. With the angled scew holes it is a solid connection. I am happy with these.

> 3 dayThis was exactly how the item arrived and its nicely wrapped and all pieces are included. It nicely attaches the deck rails together to have a fence or build anything needed using deck posts. I have used them before and they worked great and it made my job so much easier. They are very easy to install versus the other way we used to do them. Its just simple connecting and drilling the screws in. They also make the deck more safer and the connection between two posts more stronger. That was a main concern as I wanted the connection to be strongly built and this did the trick. The color was black matte color and it looked great on my dark brown posts.

> 3 dayWorked great for a redo on the railing. Made nice and heavy. I had to trim part of the bracket for the T-rail on top but it came out great . Would definitely recommend.

> 3 dayI ordered these because we are redoing a beach cottage and needed to have a deck that can withstand the elements. These brackets are well made and have a good powder coat of black matte paint on them. Our deck will look really sharp with these accents. I would highly recommend these brackets for your decking!
