I first of all really like this plug. I set it up to be on a timer for my koi pond to turn on the large waterfall during the day and off at night since it uses a lot of power pumping 10,000 gallons of water a hour. Great for saving electricity and pretty awesome that I can turn it on and off from anywhere.

Ive purchased a few different smart plugs and this one is by far the easiest to setup! Even to move this plug to a different place and setup again was really simple. If you are looking for a smart plug, look no further!

Wanted wifi outlets for harder to reach outlets and holiday lighting. I already have Govee temperature monitors and they have worked great so tried their outlets. Couldn’t be easier to set up and are working great!

My modem and router are always in a hard-to-reach place, and sometimes I just need to flip them off for a re-start. With these smart plugs I can do that without climbing behind the furniture. To do this, these plugs must be set up for Bluetooth control (because no WiFi while modem and router are off). To use these plugs, must install Govee app on phone. Simple on/off control for the switches is all I need, but... Must agree to pages of lawyer stuff. Must grant too many permissions (exact GPS location required). Must create Govee account and then two-factor verify. Eventually, it gets to the actual setup for Bluetooth device pairing. I can skip WiFi setup for my intended usage. For setup, I plugged into an easily accessible location where I can push the button for device pairing, watch the LEDs, and hear the switch click while trying out the on/off control. Setup is retained in the smart plug. (A long-press clears the smart plug setup.) Curious about works with Alexa, I reset the smart plug to try doing the setup using Alexa. This does not work. Instead, must use the Govee app, accept the Govee agreement, grant permission, create Govee account, do the whole Govee setup, then link Alexa account to the Govee account. I was expecting a simple app that just displays on/off buttons for each smart plug. The app is a bit fancier, showing suggestions for other Govee products. Its ok, the smart plug control app is still fairly easy to use. So, it works for my intended use (just Bluetooth), and it works with Alexa, but more complicated than it needs to be. Update -- Using these plugs with just bluetooth and their android app, they have been trouble-free. The plugs have not forgotten the bluetooth setup, still working ok after a power outage.

A nice and affordable set of smart plugs! The Bluetooth connection worked very quickly, but getting the plugs connected to the WiFi was trickier. But heres what I had to do (it was pretty painless once I realized it): If you have a router (e.g., Cox Panoramic WiFi) that broadcasts 2.4 and 5 GHz networks simultaneously, then its a good idea to separate the networks using the router/modem app and make them have different names. This way, you know the plugs/lights/smart home devices are connected to the correct frequency during the setup. Once I made that change, the setup was a breeze! Easier and quicker to set up than my plugs that connect with the SmartLife app and skill. I would recommend the Govee H5080 plugs.

They do perfectly the job with Alexa integration. Easy to install and easy to use.
