> 24 hourI own about 7 pencil sets including the cheaper version of this one. Drawing instructors have their own ideas about what is acceptable in class as far as drawing pencils. My present instructor suggested that we might try the Castle Art Supplies Drawing Pencils set and that the cheaper set (the one in the plastic case) would be fine. She is very particular and has us doing lots of tonal charts. I created several different charts and the Castle pencils turned out my favorite chart. I am fairly heavy handed and go through pencils rather quickly. I knew I would need another set before the end of this term. The plastic pencil case in the cheaper set drives me a bit crazy as I travel with it and the pencils fall about. Since I knew that I would be ordering more of these pencils I went ahead and ordered the more expensive set with the carrying case. So glad I did. It is saving my sanity. Stuff stays where it is placed. I was also surprised at the quality of the pencil sharpener. The little ones often do more damage to the pencil than good. I usually toss them out. This sharpener actually worked well. I also really appreciate being able to keep all the things I need in one case. I may supplement but everything fits in one carrying case. There are individual pencils I might more in other brands but I like that everything in this set will do rather nicely. Will purchase this again - oh yes, I already have.
