I bought this as a gift for a beginning artist. They liked it a lot. Only one item did not work: the kneaded eraser was dried out and cracked. It was not useable, so I had to buy a new one.

I use this product for simple sketches. It reminds of the one I had at an early age. It has all I need.

I am not sure why this has 5 star rating, the product sucks. I wanted to make a nice gift for a girl who likes to draw, but after I received the set and saw what kind of cheap Chinese materials are used I would never gift it to her. The knife was missing too. Cheap Chinese product!

As a recent retiree, just beginning to explore the world of drawing and watercolor, this seems like an excellent product. It has a nice array of pencils, charcoal and equipment. The case itself is of excellent quality, not excessively heavy and is easy to carry. The interior has been well-thought out and items are securely organized in an orderly manner. I especially like the way each side can be elevated making the drawing implements easily identified and accessible. I cant speak as an experienced artist but as a relative beginner, I am thrilled to have this set to get me started.
