Love the expansion. It adds so much to the game. Love it.

I absolutely love this game. The expansion is good and a lot of fun. I do think it would work better with 3-4 players, rather than 2, as some of the powers are slow to start. There are a couple of typos, but they arent major and the pieces are high quality.

In my opinion this expansion is a must once you figure out the overall strategy for the core spirit island. After playing a while with the core it is a lot easier to win because you know what is going to happen next. This expansion brings much more excitement to the game with added randomness. The thing about these random event cards is that they arent enough to completely lose a game, but enough to have to change your strategy sometimes. I believe I read somewhere that this expansion was supposed to be part of the core, but greater than games just split up part of the game. This is a must buy for anyone who loves spirit island.

I support anything Spirit Island. Buy this if you want 2 new Spirits and more events/scenarios. The only downside is that one of the Spirits is by far the worst designed on out of all of them (including the promo Spirits). Just my opinion, I dont think Ill every play the Claw again. But love the direction it tried to go in. Hopefully they print more expansions!

Again, Slirit Islabd is confusing. This expansion almost doubles the confusion. It adds a lot of complexity and components. Everything is well done though.

I wouldn’t even want to play the vanilla version of Spirit Island anymore. While the game is great as a stand-alone, this expansion adds the depth the original game was missing. First let’s start with the events: they add a degree of randomness to the game that makes it more replayable, and less of the same thing over and over again. Mostly they make the game more difficult, but that’s part of the fun.

Adds 2 new spirits as well as tokens for beasts, disease, wilds, and strife. Event deck throws chaos into your well laid plans. Great expansion if the base game ever gets stale!

This Expansion for Spirit Island adds some nice diversity to the game, especially for those who have mastered the base game.

    More spirits are good

The branch & claw expansion for spirit Island, featuring two new spirits (sharp fangs behind the leaves and keeper of the forbidden wilds) and a new adversary (France) as well as adding events to the invader phase of the game! the event deck has events that happen each turn, adding further variation to the game play. In addition, the expansion has tokens that prevent the invaders from exploring, building, or ravaging or add wild beasts to the land, a new set of powers (31 minor and 21 major) that use the new tokens and expand the game play, 15 new fear cards, new blight cards, and new scenarios.
