Gutermann Sew-All Thread 1094 Yards-Black (24357)

Gutermann is my go-to thread. Its great for sewing, quilting, bag making. All around my favorite thread.

My sewing instructor recommended Gutemann. She showed me the differences of good and no-so-good thread. I really satisfied with this brand so far. It produces beautiful and quality works and doesnt leave lints inside the sewing machine.

I like the large spool size since I do a lot of sewing. Good quality thread. It doesn’t fray or break easily.

This thread is very high quality. Im so glad I found this on Amazon, as the price is very reasonable and the quality is fantastic as well. I had a bobbin with some black thread on it from a different spool when I started using this thread up top. When I threaded my machine, the quality difference was astounding. My bobbin thread was ragged with many fuzzies sticking out, and the Gutermann thread was smooth and straight. I never have used this brand before but I will definitely be buying their products in the future!

I have been sewing for over 20 years and have used Coats/Coats & Clark brand thread for all that time. It was cost effective and trouble-free and up until recently I had no reason to change it. When I began doing supplies research for my online clothing store aimed at a specific type of 1/3 and 1/4 scale collector dolls, I simply wanted to see if there was another good brand of thread that came in spools larger than 500 yards. I had always seen the Gutermann thread at Joanns, but it seemed very expensive for the same product I was already buying. It was a bit of a surprise when I came looking on Amazon and found this thread that has twice as much per spool at about $8 when the 500yd spools I bought locally were about $5. I was a bit nervous switching brands of thread, but since I have only been working on outfit mockups, if it didnt work then my customers wouldnt know. I was just hoping I could save some time not having to re-thread bobbins so much. That was two months ago. I have made a crazy amount of things with a single spool that is now nearly empty, and Im ready to order two more. This thread is SO perfect for what I needed. The strand is smaller than the Coats all-purpose thread, but honestly I think it is a bit stronger. I have not had a single problem with it in my machine, a Brother CS6000i my husband bought me recently (also from Amazon.) No knotted bobbins, no snapped threads, no tangles or anything. Ive had more problems occasionally with the Coats thread. I can truthfully say that I am pleased beyond belief, especially because I never expected to find a thread better than my tried & true Coats brand. I love the Gutermann thread so much that I was gushing to my mom and sister about it just yesterday. I couldnt have asked for a more perfect thread for what I needed.

Terrific all-purpose thread. Wont shrink or melt. Launders well. Much stronger than cotton and wont deteriorate as fast as cotton. The only thing I dont use it on is delicate silks. It can be expensive to have your seams stronger than your fabric.

No lint and no tangles! Used this jumbo spool for 2 years as a hobby quilter. 1 spool yielded me a full size quilt, 2 tshirt quilts, a baby quilt, 2 sets of curtains, and tons of miscellaneous sewing projects. This picture shows a purplish white, but it is actually a pristine, pure white, so dont be put off by the pic. Black is a solid black as well.

I make pet beds and only use this thread. It is more expensive than others but it is worth every penny.

The gutter man threads are still the best/ strongest/ greatest sewing quality threads. Gives good even stitching without breaking since the thread is strong!
