Hagen HG Fluval Rib Hose 14.5mm 106/107 and 206/207

I made the mistake of ordering this hosing for my Fluval 306, but its the smaller diameter tubing for the 100 & 200 series. The rubber end that connects to the canister will fit a 300 series, but the open end is too thin for the 300 series rubber hose adapters that connect to the output spout. Its my fault for assuming all the hoses were the same, but maybe this will prevent someone else from making the same mistake.

This hose is worth replacing once in a while. Fits my 206.

This product is really Great

Got the tubing on time. It fits just fine and its the length I needed. One thing, the tips are white. Why did Fluval do that? the tips contrast with the aquarium, would been better black like the tubing.

My only concern with these tubes is that they are opaque, so it will be hard to tell if they are gunking up. But, that said, they do not kink without extreme duress, and they can be easily trimmed to length if you buy the separate rubber adapters (the ones attached cannot be reused once you trim the tube - this is an easy place to improve the product, just include a length of plain tube and a pair of the adapters rather than having the attached adapters.)

Come on Fluval, we already purchased the filter, the material cost here is minimal, and to give us another foot of tubing would cost you nothing. No way I would pay for 2 of these as I need more length. I just returned and purchased real tubing for fraction of price.

The hoses work as theyre supposed to, the connection pieces are good, but the hoses are a pain in the @$$ to use because theyre so stiff that they do not straighten out. You are going to be forcing these into position, and even then, the bounce-back is going to yank or put pressure on your carefully positioned tubes. No wonder they make those U-Holders you have to run the hoses through into your tank are so darned tight! Theres no reason why these cant be as durable and flexible as API Filstar hoses, for example. Fluval must have gotten a good deal on these - I cant imagine any other reason why they send these out with their great canister filters.
