> 3 dayI was always concerned with my 808 Desoldering Tool that Id burn something, and actually did. This stand keeps my new one from hitting the table top. Nice gear!

19-11-2024I should have bought this as soon as I started soldering. It is much sturdier than my old one with the spring coil. I always felt like that one would fall. This one holds my iron and I feel much safer!

Greater than one weekI have never liked the stand that Weller includes with the WES51 and WESD51 soldering irons. I prefer a dry brass wire tip cleaner to the wet sponge Weller assumes we all still use. This stand holds the Weller PES51 pencil with no problems as well as providing a hole for the Hakko brass tip cleaner.

> 3 dayI figured this would be an appropriate accessory to accompany a Hakko 936 I got off the net for temp control of my soldering projects instead of a basic wand iron. I was a little hesitant, since there are a number of other less expensive off-brand options out there for such a simple option. I decided to spring for this, and Im so glad I did. Its well made and will hold a wide variety of irons, including my 936, basic Radio Shack wand iron, and desoldering iron. It isnt big enough to hold my Weller 8100-B soldering gun, though. Additionally, I did not notice the holder itself getting too hot holding the irons, which was a complaint with other models. It is very convenient have the tip cleaner sitting in the holder also. That way, it doesnt slide around when you press the tip into it. Very happy overall with this. Worth the purchase for a well-done accessory.

> 3 dayProduct is just as advertised. So far, Ive had no problem with holstering my 808 in the stand, but I can see how it might be just a bit light for the Desoldering Iron. In that case, Id recommend putting a weight behind the tip cleaner, on the part that contacts the workbench. Otherwise, it holds the iron securely. Necessary, in my opinion.
