> 24 hourWorth every penny, upgraded from cheap 15 buck irons. Thought i got a dud at first, and after investigating and prodding. Checking wires and some visual inspection- it takes a lot of force to get the rod/element properly seated. It gave the SE error. You really have to push it in until theres a sharp click. Controls are a bit finky and cumbersome. However it heats up wicked fast from sleep mode, faster than you can pick the pen up and get ready to use it, tip also stays pretty dang clean and doesnt foul up fast like your typical 15 buck iron. Job wise, its amazing for your basic stuff, and smds. So far its only been defeated trying to desolder a humbucker pickup case apart. Just cant apply enough heat which is where my junky 15 buck ones come in but eveb then they barely could move the huge blob of solder congealed to cheap chrome/nickel plated zinic/brass. Wish i had this thing for a lot of previous projects, wouldve been more successful.

> 24 hourFantastic soldering station. Sleep function is nice. Almost instant heat-up from sleep mode. Iron is nice and light but still sturdy feeling. Iron also allows holding very close to the tip meaning more accuracy when soldering.

> 24 hourAbsolutely a game changer for me! I have been working with my Aoyue station for years, and I thought that was great, but it started wild temp fluctuations lately. Im soldering with the Hakko at 50 Fahrenheit less! And the performance is second to none!

> 24 hourI have purchased this station to replace a non-regulated Weller iron and it is a surprising experience for me. The Hakko iron is so quick and powerful and I like the sleep mode as well. The spare tip stand is a nice touch. At the beginning I wanted to get a Chinese copy of this station. I could get it more than 2 times cheaper than the original Hakko. Now I am glad I did not do that. I own a professional tool and I enjoy every minute working with it.
